Other Activities

• Find these words in a book with simple text.• Write the words in a salt tray. • Use the words in a sentence (parents write the

unknown words and allow your child to write the sight words). Examples: I can see a dog. I see letters. I can jump.

• Using magnetic letters (or letters written on paper then cut apart), have students “build” the word by arranging the letters in the correct order.

• Make flashcards for each word and tape them in places around the house. As your child enters or leaves that area they must point under the word and read it.
