After the a"tual firmware update, the self#test is started on the fault#tolerant system) this mayta*e several minutes. +his time depends on the load memory si-e of the inserted memory "ardand the "onfiguration of the wor* memory.

Description of rep%acement scenario

/oth 01Us must have the same firmware version in an $%#4&&'. 2f one 01U of your $%#4&&'fails, order a new 01U with the same order number. 2t will be delivered with the latest firmwareversion. +his firmware version may be higher than the firmware version of the 01U beingrepla"ed. 2n this "ase, you must downgrade the new 01U to the older firmware version.

3ou have two options for the downgrade

1. using the memory card(see description …..)

2. using the online functionality as described below:• Add the new CP to your automation system.•

!o not connect the "ber#optic cables yet.• $elect this CP in %& Con"g or in $'A'C anager.• *+ecute the menu command ,P-C pdate "rmware,. he ,pdate

• pload this "le to the CP. he new CP now has the same "rmware /ersionas the one it replaces.

1. 3or CP access protection with password: $elect a CP of the fault#tolerantsystem in $'A'C anager and select the menu command P-C Accessauthori>ation $etup. *nter the CP access password.

2. $elect one of the two CPs either /ia $imatic anager # ProGect or %&Con"g. !o not use the menu command ,Accessible nodes, in $imatic anager.



<. $elect the menu command ,P-C pdate "rmware,A wi>ard is started that can automatically update the "rmware on both CPs.
