With the Industrial Networks Education Certification Program, Siemens offers a comprehensive education in Industrial Networking. Here you will learn how to plan and implement wired and wireless networks, how to integrate them to a corporate environment, and how to secure, diagnose and optimize following industry best practices. Certification is available for each subject area.

The program includes basic knowledge and two certification levels. In the Siemens Initial Training for Industrial Networks you will receive general basics about Ethernet based networks, explained using real-world examples from industry.

Siemens Certified Professional for Industrial Networks (Siemens CPIN)

At this certification level, trainings focus on the fundamentals for the practical work with industrial networks. You will learn how to plan, implement and secure industrial networks, and how to integrate them into a corporate environment. The trainings are based on international standards, therefore open and flexible architectures are guaranteed.

The qualification to the Siemens Certified Professional in Industrial Networks follows three different certification paths:

◾ Switching and Routing: Planning, implementation andoperation of wired industrial networks

◾ Wireless Communication: Maximum flexibility throughradio networks which fulfill industrial requirements

◾ Security: Reliable network security with a focus onindustrial requirements

The certification examinations are part of the training. A successful certification is valid for three years.

Siemens Certified Expert for Industrial Networks (Siemens CEIN)

The Expert level of the Industrial Networks Education offers a high-quality education and certification in industrial network technology. You will deepen your knowledge about planning, implementing and operating of industrial networks that you have gained in the Professional level. Moreover Siemens offers a unique certification that combines in-depth knowledge about one subject area with interdisciplinary knowhow.

Besides the certification paths Switching and Routing and Wireless Communication, you will find interdisciplinary trainings that are a valuable addition to each of the available certification paths.

To achieve the title as Siemens Certified Expert for Industrial Networks, two certificates of the respective certification path (Professional and Expert) and one interdisciplinary certificate or one of another subject area are required. This way Siemens guarantees a broad qualification and a concentration on one specialist area at the same time. This is what makes you an Expert. As a result, this is not only a benefit for the partici-pants but for their customers as well.
