    Scalability

    ■ The 5000-E series offers the ability for system expansion to coincide with increases in your load growth, thus negating the need to install an oversized system on day 1.

    The systems hot-swappable modular architecture supports flexibleon site expansion for capacity and/or resilience as and whenrequired.

    Reduced MTTR - High Availability.

    In the unlikely event of a fault occurring modules can be swapped on-line without risk to the critical load and without the need to transfer to bypass.

    Modules are individually switched off before removal from the system. Swap out time is minimal, thus resulting in significantly reduced MTTR. The true modular concept also offers significant advantages in respect to maintainability and reduces the level of spare part inventories compared to traditional systems.

  • ■ When load levels allow, Intelligent hibernation can be enabled and one or more modules will switch to a "standby" state to boost load levels on active modules ensuring the system operates at it’s optimum efficiency.

    ■ To ensure availability is maintained, at least one power module serves as a redundant module and when load levels dictate, hibernating module(s) are automatically reinstated.

    High Operating Efficiency

    ■ The design configurations of traditional UPS Systems has in the past resulted in the necessity to oversize the system at the initial design stage to meet the expected future power demand, the result being that these types of installations are often operated at low load levels resulting in lower operating efficiencies.

    ■ The 5000 - E series UPS demonstrates an industry leading high efficiency level at low load; 96% at 40% rated load and 95% at 20% rated load resulting in significant energy & cooling cost saving and overall reductions in your TCO.

    ■ Given 200 kW load and air conditioner with a COP of 3:1,

    - 80, 183 kWh can be saved compared to traditional UPS(92% efficiency)

    - 257, 731 kWh can be saved compared to legacy UPS(86% efficiency)

    >> Intelligent Hibernation Design

    ■ When the quality of the mains supply permits, ECO mode can be enabled which improves the overall efficiency to more than 99% achieving even greater levels of energy savings.

    ■ In ECO mode, the load is powered by static bypass (the allowable input tolerance range can be pre-set) and the inverter is in "standby" state.

    ■ When the input supply exceeds the pre-set limits, the 5000-E will immediately re-transfer to online mode operation ensuring the connected load remains fully protected against disturbances in double conversion mode.
