Merengue (continued) TIPS: Take smaller steps when the music is faster, so that you can still keep time and keep your balance.
• For an extra challenge: Try adding a hip swivel with each step! WEEKLY BALANCE CHALLENGE: Sometimes dance steps are fast and sometimes they are slow. Experiment with different dance and walking “speeds” this week. Make it fun by moving to some of your favorite fast AND slow music! SAFETY TIP of the WEEK: If you ever feel short of breath while practicing, take a break to be sure that after a short time (less than a minute) you feel OK. Keep in touch with your body!
