Siddhamkey 3.0

 Siddhamkey 3.0 is used for inputting Siddham and Ranjana scripts into MS Word documents.To use Siddhamkey 3.0, you must install 3 fonts including Siddam, Ranjana and Arial UnicodeMS.

1. Arial Unicode MS font is for displaying Devanāgarī and IAST transliteration (also known asISO 15919 transliteration). This font can be installed from the Microsoft® Office Setup CD bychoosing the following options: Office Shared Features > International Support > Universal fontor you can find it on the internet.

2. Siddam and Ranjana fonts can be downloaded at the Chinese Buddhist Electronic TextAssociation (CBETA) reader website. Below is the direct links:

Chữ Siddhaṃ, cũng có khi viết là Siddhāṃ, là một trong các thể loại chữ phổ dụng để viếttiếng Phạn Sanskrit. Về mặt tự nghĩa thì “Siddhaṃ” có nghĩa là “thành tựu”. Chữ này có nguồngốc từ miền Nam Ấn Độ và  niên đại hình thành vào khoảng thế kỷ thứ 5 hoặc 6.

Chữ  Siddhaṃ rất thịnh hành vào đời Đường tại Trung Hoa. Vào thời này có 3 Đại Sư Ấn Độgồm Vajrabodhi (Kim Cương Trí), Amoghavajra (Bất Không Kim Cương),Śubhakara‑siṃha (Thiện Vô Úy) đã qua hoằng pháp tại đây. Các vị này đã dịch kinh Phạn sang Hán đồngthời phổ biến các kinh Mật Giáo được ghi chép bằng thể chữ Siddhaṃ. Tên gọi Siddhaṃ tạiTrung Hoa đã được phiên thành nhiều từ Hán khác nhau, âm Hán Việt đọc ra thành Tất Đàn,Tất Đàm, Tứ Đàm, Thất Đán, Thất Đàn… Ngày nay trong sách Đại tạng Hán và Đồ tượng vẫncòn lưu lại các bài chú và chữ chủng tử bằng chữ Siddhaṃ.

I have downloaded Siddhamkey, the Sanskrit Dictionary and the Pali Dictionary and theyhave all worked perfectly in my desktop running Windows XP SP3. However, when haveinstalled all the three programs in my netbook that I have just bought last Friday runningWindows 7, they have all shown me a Run‑time error ‘7’: Out of Memory, wich I believethat is related to an error of a Visual Basic component. If you have any clue on what iscausing the problem and how to solve (if there is a missing .dll, for example), I would bevery grateful.

There is no ḥ in Siddhamkey. However you can add it by opening sddhkey.mdb databasefile, then add ḥ to a new row to tbl_siddham table. In CBETA Siddham font, script for ḥ is揵

I just recently bought my father a computer with windows 7 and installed Siddhamkey 3.0and received a run time error 7. I played with the compatibility settings, uninstalled andreinstalled Microsoft Office and installed it on several other windows 7 systems and still noluck. Any advice would be great. My father uses your great software frequently.
