Search for Arial Unicode MS font

SIDDHAMKEY 2.0 HELP

To use Siddhamkey 2.0, you must install 2 fonts: Siddham and Arial Unicode MS.1. Siddham font is for displaying Siddham scripts. 2. Arial unicode MS font is for displaying transliteration. This font can be installed fromMicrosoft ® Office Setup CD or you can find it on the internet.

Run Siddhamkey 2.0, the main dialog box will appear in the center of the screen and the A(siddham) icon will display at the system tray. After closing the main dialog box, you canclick on the A icon to open it again.

There are four command buttons on the main dialog box:1. Input bar: Open the bar for inputting siddham characters.2. Converter: Open the dialog box for converting Siddham scripts from the clipboard (copiedtext) to Romanized transliteration.3. About: Open about dialog box.4. Help: Help function.

1. INPUT BAR

The Input Bar is used for sending Siddham characters directly into Microsoft Word.

Input BarFor other applications differ from MS Word, you should use Expand button to open thetextbox. After sending Siddham characters to the intermediate textbox, you copy them to theclipboard then paste into your document.

For sending characters into Microsoft Word or intermediate textbox, you can choose one ofthe following ways:­ Click mouse directly on the siddham character on the square button.­ Use Tab key to move and choose the siddham character.­ Use one of the function keys for F1 to F12 to choose the siddham character above.

In case there are more than 12 characters on the inputbar, click on the > /< button OR usePageDown/PageUp key to go to the next/previous page.

Hot keys for opening and closing the input bar: Ctrl­uparrow, Ctrl­downarrow

2. CONVERTER

To use this function, first copy Siddham text from any documents (the Siddham text must bein CBETA font format). Then click on Transliteration button. All Siddham characters willchange to Romanized transliteration.

Siddhamkey 2.0 runs on Windows® platform only.

We have translated some sutras from the Chinese version in Taisho Tripitaka Vol. T18, No.848. All the mantras in the sutras were converted to Siddham scripts.

How to use SiddhamKeySunday, 7. October 2007, 09:31:30

1. Run SiddhamKey 1.0 and Microsoft Word together.2. In SiddhamKey workspace, type the latin­sanskrit characters into the left box. Thesiddham scripts will appear in the right box.3. Strike ENTER or TAB key to move to the right box. If there are two or more characters inthe right box, use ARROW KEYS to choose one of them.4. Strike ENTER again to send it into Word Document.

INPUT KEYS:

EXAMPLE:

Oṃ Maṇi Padme Hūṃ ­> OM. MA N.I PA DME HUUM.
