Kurdistan Region Gas development• 200 tcf of recoverable natural Gas
• Once domestic demands met, gas will find its way to the Markets.
• Central gas processing facilities are being developed at the Miran gas field.
• By 2016, 6 bcm of gas is expected to be flow to Turkey.
• Domestic gas pipeline network development underway.
• 176-kilometre pipeline takes gas from the Khor Mor field to power generation plants in Erbil and Sulaimaniyah and to Khurmala.
• The pipeline passes close to other gas fields and will have spare capacity to transport additional volumes of gas in the future.
• The gas pipeline will be extended from Khurmala to Fish Khabur, on the border with Turkey.
• A 30-kilometre interconnector pipeline from Summail field to Duhokpower plant is also under construction, so that the plant, which is currently running on diesel/light fuel, will run on gas by November 2013.

Iraq’s Gas
• In 2013, Iraq’s gas production reached 2.2 Bcf/day.
• 1.9 Bcf/day was associated gas produced from the southern fields.
• 400MMcf/day is captured from the south and 300MMcf/day is captured from the north (Not Kurdistan)
• 1.2 Bcf/day is flared
• Kurdistan region has produced 340MMscf from Khor Mor field.
• By 2020 associated gas is set to reach 7 BCF per day
