RCOEM CHANGMAKERS

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell in association with RCOEM TBI foundation

jointly organized the mega event “RCOEM Change makers” to promote innovation and

entrepreneurship amongst the students in the college. The program was targeted for the students

of all branches of engineering, MBA and MCA. This Innovation, Design and Ideation competition

was conducted in three phases:

Phase I : Idea Submission : 04/09/2018 to 20/09/2018

Phase II : Innovation Workshop for all Participants : 22/09/2018

Phase III: Idea Presentation : 28 and 29/09/2018

Around 40 students submitted the innovative ideas. All the Ideas were forwarded to RCOEM TBI

to evaluate the Start-up Potentials.

The Ideation workshop was conducted by Mr.Shashi Chaudhary Shashikant Chaudhary, Angel

Investor and entrepreneur , Cofounder Nagpur Angles.



“TRANSPRENEUR”

TRANSPRENEUR 2019 was organized with objective to give momentum to innovation,

entrepreneurship & incubation related activities in the Institution. This program provided a

platform and opportunity to the participants to build and enhance their personal entrepreneurial

competencies.

This program was conducted on 17th March 2019. Around 120 participants from all the

branches of Engineering, MBA and MCA actively participated in the program.



Department of Electrical Engineering Entrepreneurship Development Cell Installation Program

Entrepreneurship Development Cell Installation Program, 2018-19

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell Team, Department of Electrical Engineering has

been installed on 26th September 2018. Mr.Mandar Ghotkar, CEO, Orange WIT ,Nagpur, 2006

batch alumni and first generation Entrepreneur was present as the chief guest.

Mr.Mandar Ghotkar, guided the students on entrepreneurship & motivational aspects and

How to move ahead step by step to overcome the challenges in entrepreneurship. He also gave

the basic lesson of Entrepreneurship and narrated the importance of technology based

Entrepreneurship.

Prof.U.B.Mujumdar introduced the role of ‘Entrepreneurship Development Cell’ in overall

development of students. Prof.V.T.Barhate talked about importance of Entrepreneurial attitude.

Prof. N.M.Deshkar motivated the students to take Entrepreneurship as an carrier option and guided

about successful entrepreneurship. The chief guest installed the new team of EDC-Electrical.

Student President Mr. Abhishek Bhagat gave the details of various activities to be

conducted in the year and proposed the vote of thanks. All the student members worked hard for

the success organization of the program.

Seminar on “Entrepreneurship Opportunities for Electrical Engineers”



Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) of Electrical department has organized

Seminar on “Entrepreneurship Opportunities for Electrical Engineers” for the Second, Third and

Final year students of the department. Young and successful alumni entrepreneurs were invited to

guide and discuss about various Entrepreneurship Opportunities available for Electrical Engineers

after the graduation. 2006 batch alumni, Mr.Mandar Ghotkar, CEO, Orange WIT ,Nagpur

gave the insight of “Entrepreneurship scope in PLC and SCADA”. Mr.Mr.Devashish Joshi,

MNJ Consultants, Nagpur talked about the “Scope and Potential in Electrical system

Design”. 2016 batch alumni Mr.Kapil Jangid, Photon Energy Solutions, Nagpur elaborated

the “Solar Photovoltaic Systems potential and opportunities”



Ms.Vinish Chaudhari and Mr. Pawan Khatri conducted the program. Abhishek Bhagat

,President,Abhishek Payskar,secretary-EDC-electrical along with Sameer Zanzad, Ruchita

Changani, Yugal Mahandole, Raunak Pathak and Vaishnavi Sardeshpande worked hard for the

successful organization of the seminar.

Seminar on

“Entrepreneurship Opportunities in Automation for Electrical Engineers”

Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) of Electrical department has organized

Seminar on “Entrepreneurship Opportunities for Electrical Engineers” for the Second, Third and

final year students of the department on 15 Jan 2019. Mr.Sumit Dubey, CEO, Pro-Embedded

Solutions guided about the various opportunities in Automation for electrical engineers. He also

highlighted the importance of Programming in Automation.



Department of Electronics Engineering

1. Interaction with Alumni

ED cell activity of Session 2018-19 started with Alumni interaction. On July 13, 2018 Mr. Varad

Manglekar, Associate analyst, Infocepts Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Nagpur inearcted with final year

students of electronics engineering. He gave various tips for start up and explained new initiatives

of Ministry of MSME. ED cell volunterres coordinated the event under the guidance of Prof.

B.M.Hardas , Incharge corordinator, ED, Cell.

2. Industry Visit

ED cell volunteers alongwith faculty members visited Waghmare Food Products (WFP) Pvt. Ltd.

On 16 August 2018. Mr. Sarang Waghmare, CEO, WFP, Nagpur explaind the journery of his

industry. Later students were taken to the floor for a view of live production line where workers

were performing their usual jobs on the machines which was quite exciting and amazing for the

students. Manufacturing, packaging , labelling and dispatch units were visted. The visit provided

a student interface to actual industry to know what kind of real world problems are there and how

they are being resolved. Prof. B.M. Hardas and Prof. Nikhil Damle were prominnenly present

during the visit.

3. ED Cell Installation Session 2018-2019

New student body of Entrepreneurship Development Cell has been installed at Electronics

Engineering department ,Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management,Nagpur on

4th October 2018. Mr.Rooshad Patel, Managing Director ,High Tech Resistors, Nagpur was Chief

guest. The function began with lightning of traditional lamp. Prof. B. M.Hardas , ED cell

coordinator in his introductory speech highlighted various activities scheduled to be carried out in

the session. He announced new executive members of ED cell. Ms. Riya Mathur-Srudent mentor;

Ms. Riya Joshi and Mr. Pratik Kaswa were nominated as executive mebers. Head of the department

Dr.(Mrs.) A.A.Khurshid welcomed the chief guest. In his motivational speech on

“Entrepreneurship as a carrer option” Mr. Rooshad Patel explained various parameters for

choosing right enterprenrship. Consistancy is key to success is the mantra to be remember by all,



Mr. Patel added. Ms. Monika Bhole conducted the proceedings and proposed vote of thanks.

4. Guest Lecture: Pankaj Dhakate (MIET, Head of Engineering, RCS, India)

Our Alumni, Mr.Pankaj Dhakate(1994 batch) has a strong experience of end to end project

implementation in Main Line as well as Metro Rail Signalling with his thorough understanding of

fixed and moving block signalling principles. He shared his experience and interacted with

students of Electronics Engineering on 24/12/2018.

A two days workshop conducted on “Design Thinking for Problem Solving” from our eminent

alumni of 1993 batch Mr. N Krishnan, Principal Consultant, Sadashiva Consulting Services,

Bengaluru.( 11th and 12th of March 2019).

8. Guest Lecture: Mr. Rooshad Patel (MD, HI Tech Resistors, Nagpur)

Mr. Rooshad Patel(MD, HI Tech Resistors, Nagpur), explained various parameters for choosing

right path for entrepreneurship to the students. He delivered the guest lecture on occasion of ED

cell installastion of EN department on 4th Oct. 2018.

Department of Electronics and Communication organized guest lecture on “Mantras for Successful

Entrepreneurs” by Mr. Nitin Biyani , Founder and Director of famous start-up “Chai Villa, Nagpur

On 28/07/2018 (Saturday) for Second & Third Year Students of the department.



Department of Industrial Engineering

Entrepreneurship Development Cell of Industrial engineering department arranged program on

Financial Planning for second and third year on 20/2/2019. The expert speaker was Financial

Director, M/S.Badjate Financial Investment Pvt ltd, Nagpur.



Electronics Design Technology

Guest Lecture on “Entrepreneurship Development” by Mr. Nisarg Ostwal

A guest lecture by Mr. Nisarg Ostwal, Proprietor, Shivshati Dal Mill, Nagpur on “Entrepreneurship

Development” was organized by Department of Electronics Design Technology, RCOEM Nagpur

on 23/02/2019. He discussed the key techniques of entrepreneurship development with the

students. Total 36 students of 4th and 6th semester students got an opportunity to interact with the

guest. Mr. Nisarg Ostwal is an alumni of EDT department (2011 batch) and Proprietor of Shivshati

Dal Mill, Nagpur.
