Reflection: Jesus, our Good Shepherd, grasps us by the hand. Good Shepherd Sunday is celebrated around the world on the Fourth Sunday of Easter. Jesus knows each one of us and we know his voice. To follow him is to know eternal life.
+ + + + + Death: Frances Ann Penland passed on to eternal life on Thursday, May 2nd at the age of 99. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 14th at 11am in the Church. We offer our deepest sympathy to her entire family and pray for Frances’s eternal rest in heaven. The Prayer Vigil will be Monday, May 13th at 7pm in the Church.

Employment Opportunity at Sacred Heart Parish
A part time paid position is available for a maintenance helper for Sacred Heart School and Parish. The position is available from May 23rd to Sept 27th. The primary responsibility will be
grounds maintenance on Thursdays and Fridays. i.e. lawn mowing, weeding of planters, and trimming of grass along the open ditches. Our St Monica Guild Spring luncheon is being held on Sunday, June 2nd at The Coast Tsawwassen Inn. Our guest speaker will be Dr. Matthia Langone. Some of you may have met her when she spoke about The Way of the Icon at one of our regular meetings. Her topic this time will be her personal life's journey. Her paintings have been exhibited in Canada, shown in Rome and in Portugal, and held in private collections. She lectures on art and spirituality.
