Flying high with safety-cables:

Parcans, speakers, moving heads, mirrorballs, trussing, brackets, projectors, fl atscreen monitors, all different products with one thing in common. As soon as they are being used, either static or as a moving effect, in elevated positions or over people or crowds you are required to use an independent secondary safety-device according to BGV-C1 and VGB regulations to ensure the safety of the visitors of your venue. Safety-cables need to be used in all these cases to secure your gear and to make sure that, in case of emergency, the secured static equipment does not fall more than 20cm or, with moving equipment, no more than 5cm to prevent the impulsforces from becoming too high. Just as important as the safety-cable itself are the chainlinks, carabine-hooks or catbiners because the whole is as strong as its weakest component. That is why our safety-cables are also equipped with certifi ed connectors to guarantee a safe use as long as the cable and the link are handled according to its specifi cations. Safety-cables can be used single or double stranded to carry and secure their specifi ed load. Please check the specs with each cable to fi nd the cable which matches perfectly to your needs. One point of attention: safety-cables are meant to secure your gear and are not to be used for hoisting equipment. You can use our well-equipped Lodestar-range for this purpose.

Sichere Montage mit Sicherheitskabeln:

Bewegliche Beleuchtungs-, Bild- und Beschallungsgeräte müssen durch zwei unabhängig voneinander wirkende Einrichtungen gegen Herabfallen gesichert werden. Typische, beweglich aufgehängte oder befestigte Geräte der Veranstaltungs- und Produktionstechnik sind z. B. Scheinwerfer, Effektgeräte, Lautsprecher, Tragkonstruktionen sowie Traversen, Montagebügel, Spiegelkugeln, Monitore, Projektionsgeräte usw. Ein Sicherungselement (zweite unabhängige Sicherung) besteht in den hier beschriebenen Fällen aus Drahtseil, Seilendverbindung und Verbindungsglied. Bei der Dimensionierung der Elemente sind die dynamischen Kräfte beim Auffangen der Last berücksichtigt worden. Sicherungsseile bestehen aus einem Drahtseil nach DIN 3060 (Rundlitzenseil 6 x 19 Standard, mit Fasereinlage) mit einer Nennfestigkeit der Drähte von 1770 N/mm2. Als Bindeglieder in Sicherungsseilen können Schnellverbindugnsglieder, Kettenglieder, Schraubkarabinerhaken oder Schäkel grundsätzlich verwendet werden. Ein Sicherungsseil muss so angebracht werden, dass die Fallhöhe des zu sichernden Gegenstands möglichst gering ist. Die Fallhöhe von 20 cm darf nicht überschritten werden! Beim Herabfallen eines Gegenstands in das Sicherungselement gibt es eine Impulsbeanspruchung für das Seil. Diese Impulskraft wird teilweise durch die Seildehnung aufgefangen. Bei der Sicherung an beweglichen Lampenhängern müssen die Sicherungsseile so befestigt werden, dass die Fallhöhe von 5 cm nicht überschritten wird, damit beim Fall einer Last die auftretenden Impulskräfte auf den Lampenhänger nicht zu groß werden. Ein Sicherungselement, das einmal belastet oder augenscheinlich beschädigt wurde, darf nicht mehr verwendet werden. Das Sicherungsseil ist nicht als Anschlußseil für den allgemeinen Hebezug-Betrieb zu verwenden.

They are available in 1 and 2 ton WLL. Please note that slings have to be certifi ed each year due to the regulations of the EEC.

In order to control your hoists, an external controller is necessary. This controller can con-trol each hoist separately or all 4 hoists simultaneously by putting the switch into the desired position. The controller has a safe emergency button with key lock in order to prevent unauthor-ized use of the controller and the hoists. The controller has 4 CEE 4-pole 16A connectors for the 110V control connections. The advantage of 110V control is that you can safe time on the complete cablework for your construction. As an additional feature this controller is equipped with an extra fase detector.
