THE OTHER SIDE OF HOPE (12A) (98 MIN) A disheartened travelling salesman in need of a change of direction crosses paths with a hopeful Syrian asylum seeker in this second feature from Finland’s deadpan master of melancholy wit. The Other Side of Hope is a love-song to humanity that is quietly absurd and genuinely funny.

THE RED TURTLE (PG) (82 MIN)A richly textured and visually sumptuous animated co-production with Studio Ghibli. A man is stranded on a dessert island, but the boat he builds in an attempt to escape is repeatedly destroyed at sea by a giant red turtle. Profound and thoughtful, this film is a dialogue-free delight that will inspire the imagination and provide insightful musings on the circle of life.
