Permit Process:Local Jurisdiction (Kitsap County)Washington Department of Fish and WildlifeArmy Corps (if at or below Mean High Water)

WAC Guidelines [WAC 173-26-231(3)(a)]

• Shoreline Stabilization• New development should be located to avoid need• New structural stabilization shall not be allowed except:• when necessary to protect existing primary structures• for new and existing development under specific conditions• ecological restoration projects, when determined necessary

• Geotechnical reports must address time frame (3 years)• Must consider soft shoreline stabilization measures• When allowed, must be at or near Ordinary High Water
