Welcome to Katapult!In this guide you will find the installation instructions for the Katapult plugin for Shopify. Installation is 5 quick steps and should take less than 10 minutes to complete.

What materials are needed:• Admin access to the stage environment where you intend to test Katapult as a payment option• Katapult sandbox tokens, provided in the integration onboarding email.

What this installation doesn’t do:This guide will install Katapult as a payment option in your cart. You will still need to market Katapult on your page to increase program awareness and promote conversions. You will find a link to our merchandising guide and a few best practices for updating your WooCommerce shop.

Step 1. Open your web browser and paste the below install link or just click on the link.

Step 2. After you click that link, you will be presented with a login page for your Shopify store.

Step 3. After logging into the shop, you will be prompted to install Katapult gateway.

Step 4. After the app is installed, Katapult will be available on the admin Payments Settings page. It will be available in the "Alternate Gateway" list.

Step 5. Enter the username and password. Select “Use test mode for test transactions (no money charged). Otherwise leave it unchecked. Click the activate button.

Step 6. Verify if Katapult exists in the Checkout page under Payment method.

Leasable and Non leasable items

We ask that our merchants mark the appropriate items as leasable during setup. We still allow customers to checkout with leasable and non leasable items. However they must pay for non leasable items in full at the time of checkout, don’t worry we’ll take care of the taxes and the payment. For this to to happen you must update your product attributes as leasable. Not sure which items are leasable? Look at our merchant guide of a list of non leasable items or reach out to us directly at integrations@katapult.com.

Updating Attributes

To update an item as leasable go to Products page and tage the items that are non leasable with a no-zibby-lease tag and save. All other items will be considered leasable by default.
