Small business in America has been the stabilizingforce in the economy. Entrepreneurs are the back-bone of creativity and production. Small business iswhat stimulates economic growth. With over 60% ofall private sectors, non-farm jobs coming from smallbusiness, it is a proven fact that small businesses arecritical to the United States economy.
Those businesses represented in this publication areexamples of thriving small business operations in ourcommunity. Support them… they are the keys to theover all health of our economic fabric.
The Small Business Administration (SBA) hasannounced the top 10 reasons to love small busi-ness, what the SBA's Office of Advocacy calls “theheart of the American economy.”
10. Small businesses make up more than 99.7% ofall employers.
9. Small businesses create more than 50% of thenonfarm private gross domestic product (GDP).
8. Small patenting firms produce 13 to 14 times morepatents per employee than large patenting firms.
7. The 22.9 million small businesses in the UnitedStates are located in virtually every neighborhood.
6. Small businesses employ about 50% of all pri-vate sector workers.
5. Home-based businesses account for 53% of allsmall businesses.
4. Small businesses make up 97% of exporters andproduce 29% of all export value.
3. Small businesses with employees start-up at arate of over 500,000 per year.
2. Four years after start-up, half of all small businesseswith employees remain open.

Introducing the timeless new Red, White & Blue flag,honoring all US veterans
from every war and time period,both living and deceased.
How this flag came to be:An elderly woman came into our store
requesting a flag that would honor veterans from all US war's through out our his-tory, and that would have all six branches of military's on it. She said she had losta son to the Vietnam war, a grandson to the Afghanistan war and one grandson stillserving. She stated that she was very proud that they had served and fought for ourfreedom, defending our way of life.
She was flying the POW flag and felt it was more for the Vietnam era and wantedto honor her grandson's as well. This flag is the result of her search.
About the flag:This Nylon (Thank You) Veterans Flag is made in the USA.
This flag has a profound meaning:The blue field represents all veterans as a whole, the living are still solid. The stars
in the background in the blue field represents the heroic fallen soldiers who havegiven there lives defending our nation. Even though they are gone from this worldthey are not forgotten, and when the sun shines from behind the flag the stars arebrought into full view. The white represents the purity and innocence of the men,women and children they defend.
The oval shape in which all 6 military's are positioned, represents that no one isfirst nor last. It takes all of our military's to defend our nation. The red tattered endrepresents the blood our troops have so selflessly shed in defending our great nationwhile maintaining our freedom and way of life.
