As year-end approaches, we kindly ask that you either pay off your account balance or put into effect a payment plan. This will both enable you to maximize your tax savings through charitable deductions as well as help support our shul.
Membership dues, shul donations, and pledges can be paid in a number of ways. Payments via cash, credit card, or check can be made in the shul office. Check or credit card payments can be made online, www.shomreiemunah.org. Shomrei also has accounts at Vanguard and Morgan Stanley and can accept donations of ap-preciated stock or mutual fund shares. You may receive a tax deduction for the full market value of the donated shares and avoid paying capital gains taxes on the appreciated value should you have sold the shares yourself. Please contact the Shomrei office for more information.

Medical Association (JOWMA) is holding its inaugural symposium on January 5, 2020 at the Doubletree by Hilton Newark Airport Hotel in Newark, NJ. The symposium is geared towards female physicians, trainees, medical students, and premeds and will offer networking and mentorship as well as panels on relevant halachic and career issues. Grandparents - want to have the experience of a lifetime creating a Jewish legacy with your grandchild? The Center for Jewish Education, in conjunction with The Associated and the Jewish Agency for Israel, has launched Baltimore’s first cohort of G-2. G-2 is a year-long Jewish journey where grandparents and their tween grandchildren enjoy monthly experiences to explore connections to family legacy, the local Jewish community, Israel and the Jewish people. The culminating trip to Israel will unite program participants from communities around the world as one global Jewish family.
