Shoestring Catering

Shoestring Catering Guidelines

Shoestring Catering is a low-cost, no-frills segment of Flavours Catering,

where all pricing is based on pick-ups only. Shoestring Catering is ONLY

available to:

Student Government

Residential Students, Block Club & Hall Council

Registered Student Organizations

Greek Organizations

UM-Flint Departments

In order to qualify for Shoestring Catering prices, the following

guidelines must be met:

Catering order must be placed at least three business days prior

to the event. A 15% rush fee will apply to orders placed less

than three business days prior to the event. Orders placed

within 48 hours of the event are NOT eligible for Shoestring

Catering pricing. Business days are Monday through Friday.

Orders can be placed by emailing catering-

manager@umflint.edu or by calling (810) 762-0888.

Food request must come from the Shoestring Catering menu. If

you have suggestions on items that you would like added to the

Shoestring Catering menu, please email those requests to

catering-manager@umflint.edu.

Customer is responsible for picking up order from Clint’s Café,

setting up their catering in their event space, and gathering and

returning all catering items to Clint’s Café after the event.

Customers will be responsible for the replacement cost of any

unreturned equipment and/or cleaning fees for the event space.

Event Space

Event space is reserved by contacting Event & Building Services.

Authorized signers or UM-Flint departments can email

reservations@list.umflint.edu or call (810) 762-3436 to reserve event

space on campus. Please notify University Catering of the location for

your event when placing your catering order.

Paper Products

All appropriate paper products will accompany the order based on the

amount of food ordered.

Linens

Linen table covers are available for an additional fee. Linens should be

picked up with the catering order and returned to Clint’s Café following

the event.

Special Orders

If the Shoestring Catering menu does not fit your needs, we will gladly

work with you to accommodate your food and budget requirements.
