Tech Project – “Indentation Creep Behaviour of Nuclear Grade Stainless Steel (Before and after forging)” - Examined the welded region of a 316L Stainless steel sample and carried out creep analysis on the specimen. - Computed the strain rate values and the Activation energy values, thus founded the type of dislocation causing the failure. - Inspected the same theoretical calculations from the practical observations obtained from the Scanning Electron

Microscope analysis of the specimen.

Kudremukh Iron Ore Corporation Limited (KIOCL)-Leading public sector unit of India. (May-June 2010) - Developed an understanding of the process of Pelletisation and the processing of iron ores before discharging into the

Blast furnace for the formation of sponge iron.

- Ascertained the purity of iron ore and strength of pellets by carrying out different tests and experiments. Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) HARIDWAR-Leading public sector unit of India. (May-June 2011) - Learned the process of steel melting in electric arc furnace. - Acquired practical knowledge of casting, and forging of parts of generator and turbine.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES Project on the effect of HIGH ENERGY BALL MILLING of different metal powders. (May-June 2010) - Acquired the X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) pattern of each element powder and the mixture of these powders. - Ball milled the samples in the HIGH ENERGY BALL MILLING MACHINE for 4, 8 and 12 hours respectively. - Established the XRD pattern and inferred the formation of alloy.
