ABOUTSHIVA DHYAN YOGA This manual includes 21 Shiva Dhyan Yoga techniques for Shiva Dhyan Yoga teachers to know themselves and to teach the first five Shiva Dhyan Yoga techniques.

Shiva has revealed Shiva Dhyan Yoga to Shakti and to seven Rishis (saints) in Himalaya who henceforth have transmitted this precious knowledge to gain self-knowledge and enlightenment. The Himalayin Master Shiva Guruji Aruneshvar was trained by 21 Masters in Himalaya and has brought the gift of these yogic meditation breath techniques to humanity by training Shivani to become the first Shiva Dhyan Yoga teacher worldwide.

Shiva Dhyan Yoga is a soul-searching experiential meditation method, which raises the human consciousness, awakens the awareness and leads to self-knowledge and self-realization. The Shiva Dhyan Yoga techniques 6-21 are destined for truth seekers, who have already practised yoga, meditation and/or other spiritual practises such as reiki or spiritual healing. Shiva Dhyan Yoga situates itself after Hatha, Kriya, Gyana, Raja & Bhakti Yoga. It is a holistic, universal study of self-realization with your own breath, soul, heart, body and mind.

Shiva Dhyan Yoga makes you experience your self in SHIVA, which is

In Shiva Dhyan Yoga (Dhyan=Meditation; Yoga=union), the soul & Shiv/the divine melt in each other, when we awaken, when we are in total awareness of our oneness with the divine in us and become a strong, pure, positive & still witness. As a witness we are able to acknowledge & accept everything and everyone as it is and what it is. We start loving unconditionally everything and everybody.

Shiva Dhyan Yoga gives you enlightening experiences, makes you feel and experience the self in the form of light, visions and sensations & a miraculous expansion of consciousness happens. Discover the divine existence in yourself and transform from within.

The impact of Shiva Dhyan Yoga practice is multi-dimensional and transforms you on spiritual, physical, mental & emotional level. Negativity is dissolved and inner peace, joy and unconditional love arise. Shiva Dhyan Yoga is a nature mirroring with the true eternity of the environment, the nature of the self & the nature of the divine and natural environment. It evolves your self nature in its true form and nature mirrors the existence in a true Sat Chit Ananda- form (Sat =truth, Chit=consciousness, Ananda=bliss & joy).

Shiva Dhyan Yoga increases your brain capacity and intelligence and helps you to establish a balance between body, mind, emotions and soul. It gives you peace of mind and relaxation. Shiva Dhyan Yoga gives you the experience of awakening awareness. It frees you from sorrow, fear and doubt and gives way to happiness and fulfilment.

Shiva Dhyan Yoga takes you beyond the ego and awakens the unconditional love, compassion & the divine light in you. It helps you grow, transform, expand your consciousness, become a giver of light, love, peace & joy to the world and finally leads to self-realization.

PROCEDURE:1. Put the right hand on the centre of the heart (at the level of the heart chakra) and the left hand on top of it. 2. Inhale deeply through the nostrils.3. While exhaling chant from the heart OM. Listen to the inner OM sound. See the OM with its vibratory sound in yourself. See your inner nature, your true nature. Listen to the wonderful sound. Repeat.

Optionally you can listen to OM music during this and the following Shiva Dhyan Yoga techniques. In the Annex we have listed several spiritual music links, which we recommend for the practise of meditation and Shiva Dhyan Yoga.

EXPLANATION:In the beginning there was nothing. From nothing the nada (=sound) OM emanated. This pranava, the prime sound OM, was created by Shiva with his damaru (=drum). SHIVA =Symphony Harmony Initiation Vibration Awakening. With OMKAR Shiva nature created out of the 5 elements the entire existence, energy, nature, cosmos and the imagination of the world. Sadashiva is the Lord of the 5 elements: air, water, fire, space and earth.

The prime sound of AUM is the sound of the breath, which is Shiva s blessing itself. To know yourself, know Shiva, know your breath.

POSTURE For all the Shiva Dhyan Yoga techniques except if indicated otherwise, we advise you to sit comfortably in a quiet place, ideally in padmasana or semi-padmasana (lotus posture, semi-lotus posture) or suckhasana (cross-legged) with a straight backbone.

MANTRASAs a preparation for the practise of Shiva Dhyan Yoga and alignment with the divine power in yourself chant the mantras below. The meaning of Mantra is M Magical/MeditativeA Awakening AudioN New vibrational T Transformative/Trust R Re-creational ResonanceA Awakening Audio

A mantra consists of letters and syllables which carry spiritual vibrations, energy and have the power to touch and transform the meditator profoundly. Mantras give an aid to the meditator by invoking the power of SHIVA = Spirituality/Spiritual Sound Harmonious Horizon Initiating Innovation Vast Vibrations Ascending Awareness and the power of God, Guru & the universe.

While chanting the mantras sit in the Anjali mudra: Press the palms of the hands firmly together with the fingertips pointing upwards. The thumbs touch the heart centre (at the level of the heart chakra) at the sternum.

Om Sri Ganeshaya Namaha Om Sri Shankaraya Namaha Om Shivam Om Shaktim Om Om Mahadeva Maheshvaraya Namaha Om Sri Shiva Guruji Aruneshvaraya Namaha

SHIVASANALying down on the back, put your arms next to your body. The thumb and index finger of both of the hands touch each other. Close the eyes and focus on the third eye. This meditation is recommended for relaxation in-between the Shiva Dhyan Yoga techniques.

GENERAL ADVICEThe first 5 Shiva Dhyan Yoga techniques can be combined with one of the techniques 6-10 on a daily or regular basis when the first level is mastered. Once the level two is mastered with one of the techniques 11-15 and later on 16-21. We recommend to take a personalized advice from a certified Shiva Dhyan Yoga teacher regarding the combination, duration and frequency of the practise of the Shiva Dhyan Yoga techniques. It is advisable to take breaks in-between the techniques, lying down in Shivasana and relaxing. We strongly advise you not to practise all the techniques in one day. We exclude hereby all liabilities related to the practise of Shiva Dhyan Yoga.

  • BE WITH THE BREATH. MEDITATION FOR SELF-REALIZATION

PROCEDURE:1. Sit in the Dhyan Mudra. The tip of the index finger and the tip of the thumb touch each other. The other fingers and arms are stretched. With a straigt backbone put the back of the hands on the knees. 2. Put the attention on the third eye between and slightly above the eye brows. Close the eyes and fix your gaze on the third eye. 3. Breathe naturally through the nostrils. Inhaling and exhaling should be of the same length. Be still. Observe the breath, forget everything and be still. Observe how the breath comes in and goes out. Be aware of your breath, how it flows through your body, in and out. When inhaling, move with your breath into yourself. When exhaling, move with the breath, be in the breath.

EXPLANATION:The name of this meditation is one name of Shiva (Om Sthiraya Namaha) and means being still (Sanskrit: sthira), sitting still with the body, still in the mind, being thoughtless and in the soul.

The thumb is the finger of the self which touches the index finger, the finger of the planet Jupiter, which is the planet of Guru. In this meditation your Self is connected with your inner guide and Guru.Putting the attention between the eye brows on the third eye clears and cleans the mind and it becomes thoughtless.

Be witness of the breath, how it goes in and out. Get to know yourself with the divine breath as an awakening gift. When you pratice the meditation with awareness of the breath, suddenly, one day illumination will dawn. This is a simple technique, to know yourself, to know the truth, to know that which is never born nor dies, the eternal element which always IS.

  • NATURE MIRRORINGMEDITATION

    4.

Experience in the nature mirroring meditation techniques an awakening of the awareness, a personal transformation and enlightening experiences.

Reflect the infinity, the expansion, the divine in the nature in yourself and know your true Self. MShiva is the absolute existence, the entire nature, the breath itself. Shiva mirroring is mirroring the nature, then Shiva embodies the entire nature with its 5 elements. S=Sky, H= Horizon, Earth, I=Ignation, Fire, Sun, V=Vast Waters, A=Air, Breath, the Prana. Meditating on Shiva and on the nature, doing Shiva Dhyan Yoga is meditating on ones own self. You will know yourself and you will realize that Shiva, the divine, is pure consciousness and in around us.

One of the various Nature Mirroring meditations by Shiva Guruji is the Sky meditation:Sky meditation: Mirror the nature in yourself
