SHIPYARD ASSESSMENT The enclosed checklist is a guidance document that can be used during the selection of the appropriate shipyard for building different ship types. It is not purported to be comprehensive so that it can be used for all kinds of ships. However, the list also contains items that may not be applicable for a particular new construction. The items under the right hand column detail some indicative aspects, which may be investigated / examined over and above other issues; although, it may not be possible to obtain evidence of some of the issues that need to be seen. 1
