Evaluation of my magazine covers

I choose these magazine covers because they fit the trend of the other magazine that I researched into. They both are high quality pictures which makes people think that it is a good magazine because it is easy to look at.The two magazines are appropriate because Bruno Mars is a very famous singer that most people could recognise so I wouldn`t have to go into much detail about him if I were to add text to the magazine. Furthermore, when I looked at other Q and Times magazines the celebrities that they put on there were wearing bright colours most of time and most of them were smiling my 2 covers fit this trend. One thing I knew not to do is to put someone grumpy or sad on these covers because they would typically be on an NME cover or an XXL cover because the persona of the celebrities are different to the 2 covers I am doing.The reason why I choose these 2 celebrities is because I prefer the pop style because it`s vibrant and happy compared to a rap cover where it is serious and aggressive. Plus I like the celebrity that I have put on there and I listen to his music a lot.Overall I think that my magazines turned out very well and they look pretty much like a normal Times or Q magazine which was the aim of this task and because it looks so colourful and interesting I like it. The times magazine comes across as a confident look which suggests that people should be like him because he’s cool. The Q magazine comes across and happy and smart so this could show that he is smart and like the times magazine people should be like him.
