Summer Memories are Happening at Sheila RayI hope everyone is enjoying the summer days. Please stay safe by drinking plenty of water and avoiding prolonged exposure to the sun. Come join us at our many fun-filled events and activities. Our June rummage sale went well thanks to the hard work and effort put in by our volunteers. At this year’s Elk Grove Parade, Sheila Ray had its own float participate promoting our Center. Seniors Got Talent was a fun time had by all as part of the June Luncheon. We had the monthly Current Events meeting with special guest Mayor Craig Johnson on June 9th. The Ambassadors performed on the same evening delighting all who attended. In celebration of Independence Day, our Center will be closed on July 3rd. As a reminder to all, there will be no Big Band Night during July and August. Please come back when Big Band Night returns in September. A trip to Starved Rock will be on August 17th with a tribute to Frank Sinatra. Don’t forget to sign up for this special trip and the September Luncheon. The date for the Annual Senior Celebration Day at Arlington Park Racecourse will be on September 24th. Wishing you a happy and safe summer!Sincerely,Mary Leetzow, President
