Sheikh Ahmad bin 'Ali bin Yusuf Al-Buni is a cleric, Sufi and Wisdom Science practitioner. The Lineage (the chain) is connected to his companions and Tabi'in. Knowledge and The wisdom of his experience in the field are put into the paper. There are two books of his work is widely used by practitioners of Wisdom and the most famous, especially in Indonesia, Shamsul Maarif Al-Kubra ( الكبرى المعارف (شمسand Manba 'Usul Al-Hikmah ( الحكمة اصول which (منبعcontains the translation of the Wisdom of Science, Letters, ,the Science of Wafaq (codification learning numbers and letters), Science Simiyya (learning the names of saints), Astronomy (learning astrology), Ruhaniyat (spirituality) and various esoteric knowledges (intended for a limited audience).

His works are still widely read and consulted practitioners of Wisdom in Indonesia. Even books or small pamphlets called mujarrabat (methods that have proven wisdom) often contains excerpts from two major books of Imam Al-Bunni. Unfortunately much of his written work time lost. Until recently his work in the field of traditional healing remains a reference among the Yoruba in Nigeria's Muslim physicians and other Muslim regions in the world.
