The connotation of this being that on Halloween night scary, frightening things occur, reassuring the audience that the film is a horror movie. The colour orange and the icon of a 58 seconds. Music slows down at this point creating anticipation for the audience. Again low-key lighting is used creating a spooky affect. This would be the rising action in freytag’s pyramid, building to the climax. The low-key lighting and music creates suspense for the viewer as they are waiting for the climax. Also the long shot of the stairs creates an enigma for

viewers, as they are not fully aware of what they are looking for.

2.08. Representation is shown of women being vulnerable and in need of help. The male is represented as the dominant stronger sex and more aggressive.

2.26. This point in the trailer reaches the climax on freytag’s pyramid, as the ‘final girl is being chased by the killer creating anticipation for the viewer. Still leaving the viewer with the enigma of who the killer is.

2.31. The end of the trailer leaves the audience with a cliffhanger, as they are un aware whether the girl will survive. Another enigma for viewers. The ending shows the abandoned house as it did at the star creating esolution for the viewers - making them feel back to normality.
