Classes & CampsSpring 2014 Dates. Classes begin Monday,

March 31 and meet weekly through Saturday, June 7, with Monday, May 26 (Memorial Day) off.

Late Enrollment. Many classes may be joined in progress (sometimes 1 or 2 “catch-up” private lessons will be required) with prorated tuition. Occasionally a class permits “drop-ins”, but check first to make sure the class is taking place.

Tuition, Class Sizes, & Cancellation Policies. Class tuition is based on minimum enrollment and classes that do not meet that enrollment will need to be cancelled. In such cases, we will refund or credit each enrolled student’s tuition, prorated by the num-ber of cancelled class sessions. In most cases The Shedd Institute can arrange private or semi-private small group alternatives for the cancelled class, or suggest an alternative Shedd Institute music class.

Missed Days & Withdrawals. Th ere are no dis-counts, refunds, or credits for class sessions not att end-ed. Students may withdraw from a class and receive a prorated refund through the 4th session, subject to

a cancellation fee. Th e Shedd Institute cannot off er a monetary refund aft er the class has already begun; a prorated credit will be given towards future classes.

Class Age & Skill Levels. The Shedd Institute welcomes students of all ages and accommodates different physical and learning abilities. Age levels for classes are meant only as guidelines. Skill level is a more inflexible prerequisite, since the courses have been designed for optimal instructional content.

Workshops. Guest Artist workshops are held throughout the year with our visiting concert artists as schedules permit. Shedd students receive special discounts and invitations to these workshops.

Se habla español. Call 541.434.7015 or come in to The Shedd; ask for the Registrar.

Instrument Rental. If you don’t have an instru-ment, one can be rented affordably from The Shedd’s instrument bank.

Need-based Scholarships are available to qualify-ing families for classes, special Music School programs, and, in some cases, private lessons. Ask for the Registrar.
