    She is Quiet

From this place I have watched her

I have seen her moveSliding along the shores of her own desires

Her eyes darting briskly around the corners of her own dreams

In those moments I question her casted images across my heartReflecting my deepest prayers to her sideInnocently I imagine love again, standing lonely in the corner

Enticing me to join the shadowy depths of its unknown pillages

Without consent she stands idly by, laying her soul cautiously before its feetHer vision captivates the sharper aspects I have forgotten about

If only she knew how fraudulent I was, how desperately I spoke out

How ignited I felt when she called me close with laughter

How sunlit peddles follow her every stepHow days lasted longer without her graceful presence

    But alas all is quiet

In those moments I whisper prayerfullyGuiding, silently, my neglected loneliness toward the promise of tomorrow

Through gleeful loathing I turn away to forget her movements

My eyes shutter as though to draw back tears

And then I ponderIf time stood courageously by, echoing toward needed passages

Would her essence flow through me

And would, in that moment, I become her breathing heart beat, and she mineAnd would, excited by possibilities, that way bring about infectious love

Cascading around those we cared for, locking them deep within happiness

With a whimsical melody and gay anglings, annoying their inner masters

Could we curse them with that honor, without remedy?Yet all is still

From that place I continue to watch

Crafting fleeting moments into cherished yesterdaysThere we were, blind spotted, without form; only for an instant

Existing in the prism of a rain drop; the flowing of a daffodil pod

The envy of the rising sun and falling moonWe were non complacent to the heavens

Our paths crossing briefly and without intimacy

    And yet, we were lovers

From this place we drew ourselves togetherCollected the willful properties, the shattered promises; for the gloriously unattained

We spoke similarly, crashing our hopes into the others

Then slowly we cast our spell, eyeing each letter from the solar point of our beings

And we became entrapped, mimicking what was unavoidableThat trance abounded by luck whos prominence hushed the world

    And created cosmic royalty

Yet all is unknownFrom that place I mourn her entrance into my embrace

Upon little caring has love grown to blossom a forest

Yet her way has been cautiously liquidated, a map freshly given

The pain, sketched so deeply that her shadow holds her hostageAnd I wallow, entrapped by divine laws, a role I never surrendered to

But now I stand over here looking through an empty glass

My edge lost in service, her way thrown eschewedTheres rain between the space we knowAnd heart ache within our syllables

    And yet all is silent
