Growing Shasta Daisies.

• Set Shasta daisy plants 18" apart.• Keep plants well watered, especially during periods of

hot, dry weather.• Remove all faded flowers to keep plant in vigorous growth

and to help extend blooming period. • In cold climate, cover plants with salt hay or pine

branches to prevent soil from heaving and thawing during the winter months.

• Once the Shasta daisies have been planted in the garden, all they need to thrive is a little fertilizer in the spring and moist soil throughout the growing season.

insecticides for aphid control• Larger aphid populations often rapidly

decline due to biological control or when hot temperatures arrive.

• Scatter metaldehyde on the slugs too control them.

• Slugs are attracted to and drown in a shallow dishes containing beer or baker's yeast dissolved in water

• The most effective chemical control method for Earwig control is to apply a perimeter treatment both inside and outside the infested structure.
