• EI006 Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP):

Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is one of Multi Criteria decision making method that was originally

developed by Prof. Thomas L. Saaty. In short, it is a method to derive ratio scales from paired

comparisons. The input can be obtained from actual measurement such as price, weight etc., or from

subjective opinion such as satisfaction feelings and preference. AHP allow some small inconsistency in

judgment because human is not always consistent. The ratio scales are derived from the principal Eigen

vectors and the consistency index is derived from the principal Eigen value. The Analytic Hierarchy

Process (AHP) is a structured technique for organizing and analyzing complex decisions.

Methodology

This is an interactive course. There will be open question and answer sessions, regular group exercises and activities, videos, case studies and presentations on best practice and the fundamentals of Analytic Hierarchy Process. Participants will have the opportunity to share with the facilitator and other participant on what works well and not so well for them, as well as work on issues from their own organizations.

Course Objectives:

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

• Build ability to align decisions with Organizational Objectives.

• Select one alternative from a given set of alternatives, usually where there is multiple decision criteria

involved.

• Build ability to implement a structured and repeatable decision making approach by utilizing

organizational Expertise.

• Checking the consistency of your judgements.

• Apply AHP in building consensus, prioritizing customer needs and choosing the best alternatives.

Target:

This course is ideal for learners involved in decision making and risk analysis, process excellence

professionals, or anyone interested in learning structured decision-making using step by step

approach.

Methodology:

Practical demonstrations of all the key principles using models and simulations in the classroom. Mixed instructor-led delivery of theoretical content with a blend of PowerPoint overview, whiteboard explanations of details and class interactive exercises. A narrative that runs through the course where each topic is inter-related and builds on the previous learnings The course will conduct an interactive and discussions environment, practical exercises case studies and syndicate work. This course will allow all participants to use the learned knowledge by developing gained skills. Course Objectives:

At the end of the course, participants will learn:

• How to relate your project to the industry drilling envelope and how to define the correct level of planning resource to allocate to ensure success.

• What changes in the well as you increase the inclination, and how these changes need to be reflected in the planning and operational practice. Tripping and connection practices will be examined in detail and the changes from low angle wells will be developed by the group as part of the ‘workshop’ style teaching.

• How to ensure that NPT and LIH do not affect your project. The focus here will be on understanding both Hole Cleaning for high angle wells and the risks of differential sticking.

• When to use high cost technology like rotary steerable systems and when these systems add little value. How to mitigate the risks of motor drilling when they are used in high angle drilling.

• How to push the drilling envelope further and increase the drilling radius of any rig to deliver more fluids back to the asset.

• How to use the evolving science of geomechanics alongside the increasing volume of formation evaluation while drilling data available in real time to deliver substantially lower NPT on any drilling project.

• How to work with a geology team to geo-place or geo-steer a well path within specific lithologies or a specific fluid type.

Target:

This course will target:

• OG006 Stuck Pipe, Design and Operational Practices for Avoidance:

This course addresses the root causes of poor planning and poor operational procedures that lead to stuck pipe situations at the rigsite. The approach to stuck pipe prevention advocated in this course is a ‘holistic’ one where the subject is addressed across disciplines at the planning, execution and evaluation stages of each project. The importance of maintaining focus on the key drivers of stuck pipe during each phase of well construction is highlighted as is the use of techniques and equipment previously only used by the geoscience teams. Course Level: Foundation/skill Methodology:

The course is structured by presenting the basic drilling technology and then linking it with the features of geothermal drilling activities. The course will cover the following drilling aspects:

• Design and evaluation of well drilling systems

• Identification and solution of drilling problems associated with geothermal wells

• Mud design for elevated temperatures, well control, casing design

• Well cementing The course will conduct an interactive and discussions environment, practical exercises case studies and syndicate work. This course will allow all participants to use the learned knowledge by developing gained skills.

Course Objectives:

At the end of the course, participants will learn to be confident in understanding of:

• How to plan wells using the most up-to-date techniques and input from the geology and geomechanics teams to prevent avoidable problems in the well

• How the ‘old’ practices and procedures embedded in the industry are not always correct and often lead to stuck pipe situations

• How the ‘human factor’ plays a significant part in a lot of stuck pipe situations and why people do not follow the correct practices and procedures

• Communication and operational reporting and planning, why we often do not see the obvious risks because of the way we focus our reporting

• The definitions, mechanisms and language of stuck pipe

• Jars and accelerators, how they work and how to place them correctly, but also why these pieces of equipment are not always going to help you

Target:

This course will target: A professional involved in well construction, office based or rig based staff at all levels, for the first time introduced to stuck pipe, and in need of refreshing your knowledge or if it is more than two years since you attended a stuck pipe course.

• PD005 Conversational hypnosis:

Almost everyone fantasizes about having superpower, at some point in life. After all, we exist in a mechanistic universe with rigidly set rules of engagement, so it is only natural for human mind to wander and create an outlet that, although transpiring within itself, serves as a stress release valve

and potentially a focal point of creativity. The fact that such fantasies can even occur is precisely why the human mind is such a unique type of matter that can be influenced and molded with mere utterance of words. Propagandists and demagogues of all stripes have long ago figured this out; that there is true wizardry in the world, which takes the form of clandestine, implicit suggestions to the subconscious mind. It can literally transform the world, for worse or for the better. If you desire the knowledge of techniques which could enable you to exert control over other people’s minds, without their knowledge, and even make them obey your cloaked commands during normal conversation, We have refined this knowledge for you. Based on the research by Dr. Milton H. Erickson, the leading authority on hypnosis, We have teased out the most efficient methods on how to do this, all presented in an easily understandable, applicable and structured manner. • When and why conversational hypnosis will not work

• Why hypnosis is a perfectly natural state of mind that everyone experiences on a regular basis

• What “monoideaism” is and how it factors into your mastery of conversational hypnosis

• How to tell when someone is in a self-induced or externally induced hypnosis

• Hot to quickly establish deep connection with others, thus building a mutually beneficial rapport

• Why being “nice” is counter-productive and often an outright barrier to establishing a bond with others

• How to “read” people like an open book
