General Features

• Integration of all options: Part design, importing data, work piece part nesting (automatic or manual), cutting sequences, generating the CNC program, sheet metal store request for information, calculating time and costs, the generation of budgets, etc. can all be carried out from the same program. Lantek Sharp allows the geometry of a piece to be modified once nested and cut without having to repeat nesting or the cutting sequence.

• Open database: All the information is stored in Microsoft © SQL Server database. Parts are stored in databases organized so that the user can easily locate them or associated sheets, based on criteria such as material, thickness, date, customer, size etc.

General Features

• Totally flexible manual nesting: Perfect combination of automatic and semi-automatic nesting enhanced with powerful manual functions such as copy, rotate, bump nesting, etc. Parts can be placed manually and then the system is left to continue on automatic.

• Automatic nesting with maximum performance: Select the parts, the quantity, the minimum separation between them and the system will do the rest. Parts are distinguished using different colors, possible to do common cut nesting….

• Nesting on remnants: Possible to nests on remnants to save material. Remnants are saved in the sheet store and can be used at any time to carry out new nesting.

• Error Detection : Both in design and machining, if the user mistakenly designs a part with open contours or overlapping elements, Lantek Sharp detects and automatically corrects them. Collision detection in nesting.

contours and depending on the material&thickness• Loops: to permit the correct machining with triple and rotary torches• Bridges: to reduce the number of piercings and the cutting time• Microjoints: to leave the parts connected to the sheet• Continuous cutting to reduce the number of piercings.

• Material / Thickness dependent data: tables can be

configured via material/thickness to define separation between

parts, lead-in/lead-out types, etc., • Modify the design of a particular part even after it has been cut and

placed, without having to return to nesting.

• Advanced Common cutting: Common cutting can be achieved

between several parts, or limited only to pairs of parts. Micro-joints

can be carried out on shared cut elements and pre-cuts on corners.
