I realised the importance of gender and GBVin an open society and Secular State, to theextent where they crafted a project anddesigned a magazine with the underlying

story being GBV & means to address it.

As speaker, I realised that my Senior

Parliamentarians needed to become Child

Champions

This was my strategy to get the buy in fromSenior Parliament.

The motion was supported through casestudies of traditional societies where genderand GBV are in conflict with cultural beliefs,customs and norms.

IS THE LEADER KNOWN WITHIN THE INSTITUTION,COMMUNITY, ETC FOR ADVOCATING FOR ISSUES

OF GENDER AND GBV?

A Watchdog Magazine was created that

monitored the media in Namibia, a questionof female stereotype was open for debate as

well as media sensationalisation. I participated in the childrens reference

group during our revision of Namibias Draft

Child Care and Protection Bill, where GBV

was heavily scrutinised.

suite, but the representation is stillworrisome.

the National Council of Namibia
