The Card Ministry received this note from the daughter of Ladelia Becraft:

Dear Friends at Lakeside United Methodist Church, Thank you, thank you, thank you for everything you do! Mom (Ladelia Becraft) celebrated her 101st birthday in style with family and friends back in July. I have been reading 20 or so cards to her at a time and she is loving it. We look at the design of each card and of course the message in it. Her eyes light up when I read who signed the card. You ALL have brought much joy to her! Her memories of Florida, Lake Worth, and Lakeside UMC are so happy and positive. Thank you for keeping these alive in her. Sincerely, Sandy Scoville

Journey of Paul Trip– October 6-19. Pastor David will be

leading this group to where Paul journeyed in the

Mediterranean. Pray for their safe travels.

Dear Friends:

Our children have been having a great summer on both the Enterprise campus and

Madison Youth Ranch. Our Summer Fun Program has included a wide range of activities

from field trips to pool parties. The children have been able to go to Fun Spot in Orlando,

Speed Park Motorsports in Daytona, bowling, movies, and more. But as the summer is

drawing to an end, it is time to begin preparing for another school year. Everyone from

house parents to therapists in our Education Department are gearing up so the children

have the materials they need, and are on course to succeed in the coming school year.

Heather is one of those success stories that never would have happened if not for the

support of friends like you. She came to live here at the Children’s Home about this time

last summer. Her school year got off to a poor start, and she was really struggling to reach

her goals. Her therapists here on campus helped her with the transition of living at the

Children’s Home, and her house parents gave her love and support to restore her

confidence. Our education department helped her to improve her study habits, and she

actually graduated from high school a year early. Now she is spending this summer

preparing to enter college in pursuit of her degree.

Heather’s success at school would not have been possible without your support. Your

continued support our children with the therapy, education, clothing, and other

necessities for a happy and healthy life. You really are helping them to succeed.

We are very appreciative of your congregation’s recent gift.

Sincerely, Elisabeth Gadd, Chief Development Officer

Florida United Methodist Children’s Home
