WEB ROLES • Content Owner (aka approver, functional manager or delegate): Responsible for

ensuring current and accurate web content within their function or program website. Functional managers are responsible for all content posted on the web and for notifying Public Affairs and Information Technology when content owners or editors change. [Note: If no content owner is provided for that function or program, functional manager assumes content responsibility.]

Content created or updated is approved by using SharePoint 2010 system approval procedures. A system account is required.

• Content Editor (aka contributor, content manager/publisher): Responsible for

editing and updating, as well as archiving and deleting web content. This person can also be known as a web technician who maintains web pages for subject-matter experts. Content editors can research, write, review, edit, post and archive content. [Note: If a website is not managed, the site will be removed.]

Content created or updated is published by using SharePoint 2010 system approval procedures. A system account is required.
