Pace of Play Guidelines A round of golf should take no more than 4 to 4 ½ hours on the average. Here are some of the ways golfers can

avoid wasting time and delaying play: Be ready to address the ball when it is your turn. Particularly on the

putting green, make every effort to read the green and plan your putt while waiting your turn. Except in

situations where tradition or rules require otherwise, encourage your group to play ready golf; whoever is ready

shall hit without regard to who is up or away. A group playing ready golf is less likely to get out of position.

Out of position is defined as: • Having a clear hole open ahead on par 3 holes.

• Having failed to leave the teeing area before the group ahead replaces the flagstick on the par 4 hole

your group is beginning.

• Having failed to leave the teeing area before the group in front of your group reaches the green of the

par 5 hole both groups are playing.

REMINDER: Encourage your group to avoid falling behind by always playing ready golf and speaking to others

if they are slowing play unnecessarily.

EVENT NAME that you would like to play in, i.e. 2018 WOMENS CLUB KICKOFF, click on SIGN UP, then

click on SUBMIT REQUEST. The Pro Shop will do pairings the Sunday before the day’s play and you will receive

an email showing your pairing and tee time.

9-Hole League – Day’s Play

• Accuracy: Count one point for each time you are in a sand trap, water hazard, out of bounds or when

you take three or more putts.

• Blind Holes: Five holes randomly drawn; use 1/2 of your 9-hole handicap.

• Criers: Revert your three worst holes to par. Use your full 9-hole handicap.

• Gold Tees Low Net: Play from Gold Tees, gross score minus your 9-hole handicap.

• Hate ‘Em: Before teeing off, on your scorecard, players circle the one par 3, two par 4’s, and one par 5

that they absolutely HATE. Subtract the score of these holes from the total. Subtract 1/2 of your 9-hole

handicap.

• Low Net: Your gross score minus your 9-hole handicap.

• Low Putts: Only strokes taken on the putting surface are counted.

• Odd Holes or Even Holes: Total score on odd or even holes; use 1/2 of your 9-hole handicap.

• Six-Hole Elective: Choose your best six holes. Use 1/2 of your 9-hole handicap.

• T’s and S’s: Use scores on holes that numbers start with a T or an S; i.e., two, three, six, seven. Use

1/2 of your 9-hole handicap.

18-Hole League – Day’s Play – WEDNESDAY

• Best Nine: Best score from holes 1-9 or 10-18. • Blind Holes: Nine of the eighteen holes are randomly drawn by the tournament committee, minus 1/2

of your handicap.

• Fairways: Gross strokes, minus putts. Use full handicap. • Three Club Finesse: Using 3 clubs of your choice plus your putter. The total points accumulated by

scoring one point for each one-putt and one point for closest to the pin after all are on the green.

• FONE It In: Count your score on holes that begin with F-O-N-E. (1,4,5,8,9,11,14,15 &18). Use 1/2 of your handicap.

• Gold Tees: Low gross and low net from the GOLD TEES.

• Odd Holes: Use only odd numbered holes – use 1/2 of your handicap.

• Putting: Only strokes taken on the putting surface are counted.

• Pick Your Poison: BEFORE TEEING OFF, choose 9 holes you like best. You may choose from any of the

holes. However, they must include 2 par 3s, 5 par 4s and 2 par 5s. Tally these 9 holes and use 1/2 of your handicap.

• Red, White & Blue: Post Scores using 74.4/133 Full handicaps based on rating Par 3’s: Play from RED tees, Par 4’s Play from WHITE , Par 5’s play from BLUE

• Stableford: 6 points for net double eagle, 4 points for net eagle, 3 points for net birdie, 2 points for net par, 1 point for net bogey.

• Sweepstakes: Low gross and low net scores.

• Throw Out: Discard - completely eliminate - your three worst holes. Full handicap.

• T’s and S’s: Count only the holes beginning with the letters T and S (2, 3, 6, 7, 10, 12, 13, 16, and 17). Use 1/2 of your handicap.

• Under Par: Total number of holes you had under par - net. (If you had 6 net birdies or better your score is 6).
