SOL YOUSHA YOUTH FUND One of the most important obligations of a Jewish Community is to educate its

children. It is important that they learn to read and write Hebrew and understand

the Jewish holidays and traditions. It is equally necessary to create a strong Jewish

identity for children, giving them the foundation to follow a personal journey in

becoming a responsible Jew and promoting socialization with other Jews that will

strengthen our Jewish communities.

We lost a truly special person when Sol Yousha passed away this past October. To

honor his memory, a fund will be established in his name, with the mission to

promote youth programming here at Oceanside Jewish Center that will engage its

children in the manner that Mr. Yo would have wanted. The programs will work to

strengthen and maintain the connection that our Jewish youth have and teach them

to enjoy being Jewish.

On November 1st, 2015, Neshama Carlebach, a leading superstar in Jewish Music

Entertainment, will be performing here at OJC. All net proceeds of the concert and

CD sales will go directly to the Sol Yousha Youth Fund. We hope you will attend

this exceptional event! Ticket information will be available later this summer.

Please support the Sol Yousha Youth Fund -- all contributions over $36 (received

before October 31, 2015) will receive Neshama Carlebach’s latest CD, Soul

Daughter. Get to know her and her soulful music so you can sing along on

November 1st. Donations can be sent to the OJC office.
