j?UMMARY
There is a good grade copper sulphide mineralized zona
on a property controlled by Pere Marquette Petroleums (Eastern)
Limited in Parkinson Township.
This zone occurs in a strong quartz filled shear in a basic
intrusive rock. The zone strikes east,- west and is mineralized
over widths of 6 to 14 feet and can be traced for 900' along strike
before disappearing under o \ erburden cover.
There are Lidicaw.ons cf a second east - v;es-c striking zone
200' north of the main zone also carrying copper sulphides.
These well rrrlnoraiized zones merit further exploration by
diamond drilling.

^property Is by highway^ and;gravel road,from Iron 4r-
Highway and 'then by bush trail about l 1/2 miles
property. Access Is also possible by boat via the Mississagi
..River and the Little White River.. . . . . ;
INFORMATION
Information for this report is from geological report No.l? .
of the Ontario Department of Mines and Map No. 2032 Blind River
Elliott Lake Area and from a personal examination of the property
by the writer or. November lj.th and 5th, 1964.
TOPOGRAPHY
The topography i-"1- the immediate area of the property is
rough. The ground rises very steeply from the north side- of the
river in places producing cliffs 2^0 feot high. The north portion of
the area is more gently doping hills.
Outcrops occur on the sreep elopes with the remainder of
the area covered by 2 to 10 feet of overburden.
WORK
There is one partially filled pit on the property that was
dug about 1907.
The only other work is several trenches opened up by the
vendor of the property.

n. The
is underlain by fit basement complex of granites, gneisses "and
; amphibolites,'; Ly'ng on these basement rocks are broad areas of
.Huronian sediments; quartzites, argillite*? and conglomerates. Mem
bers of both the Bruce and Cobalt group of sediments outcrop in
Parkinson Township.
Intruding the older formations are dykes and irregular sill
type bodies of quartz diabase and quartz gabbro. The outcrops
observed on the property xvere rocks of quartz diabase and quarts
gabbro composition. The more basic intrusives are in close proxi
mity to the mineralised zones. The main structural features of
the immediate area are the White River fault which parallels the
river course and the axis of the Chiblow anticline which strikes
northwest across the Township jusr north of the claim group.
R' 1MB R AIL 12 AT ION
Striking east - west across claim SSM 67444 and north of
the river is a major shear zone. This may be the extension of the
White River fault. This shear zone has been filled by two parallel
quartz veins that vary in width from 2 to 6 feet and are separated
by 2 or 3 feet of gabbro. Chalcopyrite, bornite and minor a-
mounts of pyrite have been introduced into this shear zone and
o
concentrations are "found in the 'quartz veins, in the
Jfvuv ; hdstween the veins and to a lesser extent in the:wall rocks outside ';
veins. In places In the quartz the sulphide mineralization Is
-j^. : very concencrated probably being 20 to 30? o f the vein but usually
\ -appears to be about 5 to 10# of the veins and about 3 to k.% of the
v ; - rock between the veins.
This main shear is vertical and can be traced -for 900 feet
along strike disappearing under overburden at the west end and run
ning down a 250' cliff face at the east end and then under the
overburden.
A recent trench located 200 feet north of the main .shear
zone uncovered another parallel quartz vein carrying chalcopyrite
mineralization. The length of t'.v.s vein is unknown because it is
covered by overburden.
CONCLUSION E: AND R UNDATION S
Tnic property in underlain oy oacic intrusive roci-cs. Tnere
is a quartz filled shear zone that carrier ^ood. grade copper sulphide
mineralization over widths oi7 6 to l-t feet. This '^one ce.n be traced
for 900 feet in length before disappearing under overburden. There
are Indications of a second east - west striking sone 200 feet north
of the main zone also carrying copper sulphides.
