Feature ChangesIn this release, separate statistics are provided to indicate RAB Setup and RABModify Request and Response.These statistics are displayed under "SGSN Initiated RAB Messages" using the show gmms-sm statisticsall command. Bulk statistics are also added in the IUPS-BK schema and SGSN schema.

IUPS-BK SchemaThe following new bulk statistics are added in the IUPS-BK schema to support RAB Setup and RABModifystatistics.

• rab-set-req-bk – This proprietary counter tracks the number of RAB Setup Request messages initiatedby the SGSN.

• rab-mod-req-bk – This proprietary counter tracks the number of RABModify Request messages initiatedby the SGSN.

• rab-set-acc-bk – This proprietary counter tracks the number of successful RAB Setup Request messages.The SGSN initiates RAB Setup Request towards the RNC to setup a RAB.

• rab-mod-acc-bk – This proprietary counter tracks the number of successful RAB Modify Requestmessages. The SGSN initiates RAB Modify Request towards the RNC to modify a RAB.

SGSN SchemaThe following new bulk statistics are added in the SGSN schema to support RAB Setup and RAB Modifystatistics.

• rab-set-req – This proprietary counter tracks the number of RAB Setup Request messages initiated bythe SGSN.

• rab-mod-req – This proprietary counter tracks the number of RAB Modify Request messages initiatedby the SGSN.

• rab-set-acc – This proprietary counter tracks the number of successful RAB Setup Request messages.The SGSN initiates RAB Setup Request towards the RNC to setup a RAB.

• rab-mod-acc – This proprietary counter tracks the number of successful RABModify Request messages.The SGSN initiates RAB Modify Request towards the RNC to modify a RAB.

• rab-set-tmr-expired – This proprietary counter tracks the number of RAB Setup Request messages thattimeout. The SGSN initiates RAB Setup Request towards the RNC and starts a timer. When no responseis received within a certain time, the SGSN performs an action appropriate to the procedure – duringactivation, the SGSN sends Activation Reject. For other procedures, the PDP context is preserved.

• rab-mod-tmr-expired – This proprietary counter tracks the number of RAB Modify Request messagesthat timeout. The SGSN initiates RAB Modify Request towards the RNC and starts a timer. When noresponse is received within a certain time, the SGSN performs an action appropriate to the procedure –during activation, the SGSN sends Activation Reject. For other procedures, the PDP context is preserved.

• rab-set-fail – This proprietary counter tracks the number of unsuccessful RAB Setup Request messages.The SGSN initiates RAB Setup Request towards the RNC to setup a RAB.

• rab-mod-fail –This proprietary counter tracks the number of unsuccessful RABModify Request messages.The SGSN initiates RAB Modify Request towards the RNC to modify a RAB.
