Why Shenyang and North East China?
Shenyang and Liaoning province is the centre of the iron and steel manufacturing industry for China and as such is strong in heavy equipment, automotive and aerospace sectors. The port of Dalian to the east is one of China’s major shipping hubs.
This region is rich in most natural resources such as iron ore, coal and oil and such allows it to be competitive in the global market.
COMPANY HISTORY
Shenyang Great Metals Industrial Co Ltd was a “spin off” company from the breakup of the Shenyang Machinery Export and Import Co Ltd, which in turn was a subsidiary of the China Machinery Export an Import Co Ltd.
It became an independent company in June 2005 when David Zhao purchased and reformed it, at a time when many Chinese State Owned Enterprises were downsizing and privatizing.
The changeover allowed these firms to be more nimble and responsive to the evolving global market.

We are an export oriented engineered component supplier that manufactures product predominately in north east China. Our business model is to use our network of contracted manufacturing facilities, some of which we have an equity position in and the rest are strategic partners.
This allows us to offer a wider range of products and services to our customers in order for them to have a smaller vendor base in China as well as to give us flexibility is scheduling in peak times to avoid delays.
Who are we and how do we operate?
What are the basic problems that foreign companies face when buying from Chinese suppliers?

To avoid this, we take ownership of the engineering, quality assurance, inventory management and logistics.
We are customer facing so you only need to deal with one project manager for all of your project requirements.
Because we are strictly export driven, we understand the stringent requirements of our foreign customers and gear our factories QA standards accordingly.
What are the benefits of such a model?
Engineering- Our in-house engineers analyse the drawing requirements and determine the best facility to produce the product in and make sure that all key information and quality criteria are included.
Quality – Our in-house quality inspectors work with our factories to create a “quality culture” that ensures that our process is always in control, which results in repeatable quality product. We also supply and house our inspectors in our facilities as required to monitor either in process inspector or final inspection, depending on the customer criteria.
How do we meet your objectives?
Customer service / program management – We manage shipments and control production and inventory. We are proactive and if we see problems, we will involve our customers immediately. We also keep you abreast of all schedules and any changes that occur.
Logistics – Our proximity to the port of Dalian allows us to be able to conveniently ship anywhere in the world at competitive pricing. We can select the carrier or work with your freight forwarders to ensure on time and safe delivery to your location.
