Shelter Outreach)

Want to work with women and

kids? N.O.W.S. Outreach is an Al-

bert Schweitzer Fellowship and

IPSA-approved program founded

by medical students in 2015. Our

mission is to empower the wom-

en and children at the New Orle-

ans Women's and Children’s

Shelter (NOWS) to be proactive

with their health and wellness

by providing health education

and physician-student run health

clinics. Join almost 200 volun-

teers from all of the LSU profes-

sional schools, including Xavier

pharmacy school, to teach

health education programs, lead

and create new programs, work

at the monthly clinics, or partici-

pate on committees.
