SG1 Objectives 1. To discover the power and use of God’s word within each individual's mouth. 2. To declare and make known the now will and intent of heaven upon the earth through the use of the proceeding word. 3. To diligently stand at the spiritual gate of a town, city or region, as these are key access points in which to push back, drive out, that which seeks to pollute, distract, destruct, undermine or devalue societal transformation. 4. To begin praying for specific windows to open up so as the corporate house come into a full understanding of what the book of Colossians calls ‘the full measure of the riches in Christ truly means’. Colossians 2:2 5. To develop our spiritual stature before God through prevailing prayer. 6. To draw down the manifest presence of God so that we are transformed into His likeness and into His image. To keep these objectives clear in our hearts will not only empower us individually and corporately, but will more so keep us from becoming blurred and unfocused. Ephesians 1:17-18 I also pray to the God of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is the glorious Father. I keep asking Him to give you the wisdom and understanding that comes from the Holy Spirit. I want you to know God better. I also pray that your mind might see more clearly. Then you will know the hope God has chosen you to receive. You will know that the things God’s people will receive are rich and glorious 1 Corinthians 9:28 Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly, I do not fight like a man beating the air 1 Corinthians 14:13-14 (regarding speaking in tongues) For that reason, those who speak in languages they had not known before should pray that they can explain what they say. If I pray in another language my spirit prays. But my mind does not pray. What should I do? I will pray with my spirit but I will also pray with my mind. I will sing with my spirit. But I will also sing with my mind. No 1) Notice the centrality of whom and where all thoughts, words and actions are being directed and communicated. To the God of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is the glorious Father. No 2) Paul is explaining that as a fighter and a man running his course ‘aimlessly' is not a fruit of the spirit, but rather is a bad fruit called stupidity. Whatever we do we must have clear thought, strategy and determination. No 3) Notice that in 1 Cor 14:13-14 Paul, when referring to spiritual communication, said that communication must be for the benefit of everyone rather than just for an individual, which is a sentiment no doubt to which we would all agree with. Notice Paul then goes on to say, concerning communicating God and his thoughts, that there are core key ingredients. The first being the spirit of a man along with the mind of a person, all of which must then become dependent upon the mouth, which is the vehicle being used, for without the mouth being opened communication is not made. Three dynamics of prayer: 1. The Spirit man within everyone of you must be activated when communicating to God and His people. 2. The mind of every believer involved must actively be engaged in order to know and understand the mind of God towards His people 3. Every mouth must become an active vehicle made available for communicating God's thoughts and desires to His people. To omit any part of these key dynamics will blur and obscure us from knowing the mind and thoughts of God, as well as limit us in penetrating the heavenly realms. The key to opening and closing doors Deuteronomy 30:11-31:1 "For this commandment which I command you today is not too mysterious for you, nor is it far off. It is not in heaven, that you should say, 'Who will ascend into heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?' Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, 'Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?' But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it. "See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil, in that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, that you may live and multiply; and the Lord your God will bless you in the land which you go to possess. But if your heart turns away so that you do not hear, and are drawn away, and worship other gods and serve them, I announce to you today that you shall surely perish; you shall not prolong your days in the land which you cross over the Jordan to go in and possess. I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them." The word when received comes directly into your internal spirit man, if through fear or timidity the enemy shuts you down, then the word can never come out and therefore it will become nullified. Learning to hear your own voice. The sound of your own voice can often bring second guessing, which in essence undermines the strength and meaning of the word, all because you feel uncomfortable with the sound of your own voice. Learning to interpret and deliver the word that you read or receive. Whenever you read a word and it stirs your internal spirit man, then why do we read it completely different. We must learn to read the word and deliver the word with intensity so as people can pick up the nature of the mood, moment, tone and intensity of the hour. Learning the power of a shout. We are not shouting for shouting sake. When you are drawing someone to you, you use a unique specific intimate language, but when you are lifting someone's name up in adoration, your voice pitch changes, why, because emotions and desires are changing and being expressed differently. When you push things back or away from you, the language again begins to change because you are now trying to convey a different message by a tone which says, you are not welcome and therefore not wanted. You don’t push people away by quiet or intimate tone, but rather by the opposite. To function in the above gives weight as to why we are strategic gate keepers. Illustrate: In every meeting the pace and intensity of prayer must be flowing all the time. We must each listen to: 1. what is being prayed, 2. how it is being prayed, 3. for what and how we pray will then determine my response as the listener. Role play one: Stand people in a circle and begin telling a story. The objective of the role play is for all SG 1 participants to hear what is being said and how it is being said. Ask the people to join in individually so they can tag along with the story. The object is that each person standing in the circle has to take the story on using their mouth and imagination, albeit with intelligence, passion, focus and emotion.
