Install the Software package using the CD-ROM. The installation process differs between UNIX/Linux/Windows. Please follow one of directions according to your platform:

STEP 1

Enter http://127.0.0.1:3162 or http://<server- name>:3162 into your browser’s address bar (See “Remote Registration”). For this example, <servername>is mrtall.

STEP 2

Enter the password which you have already registered in installing Software Package.

STEP 3Press the “Register Online”button

1. Install the SFLM Service using the command:

#<install directory>/bin/sfl m -install

2. Enter your password of managing the license server, which you have already specifi ed in installing Software Package:

Administrator Password:?

3. Your web browser (Netscape or Mozilla) will pop up.

Note: If not, please perform Remote Registration described on the reverse side

1. Run the package installation and ensure “Licensing” is selected.

2. Enter any password when promoted, it is important to keep this for future SLFM administrative tasks.

STEP 4Fill in the each blank of Email Address, Company, Telephone, Contact Name. Then click “Next” button.

STEP 5Click “Next” button again.

STEP 6When the ID with letters beginning from “0SSMID” appeared for the machine IDs, this means that registration process was completed. You must notify your vendor this ID for the license to be issued. After the vendor has sent you the license fi le, you need to install this fi le following the steps of the “Installing the License File” section below:

In case you can not connect to “http://www.sfl m.net”, please perform Offl ine Registration. For more information , see Step 3 of Offl ine Registration section on the reverse side.

Installing the License File

If you do not intend to download your licence fi le automatically, copy the license fi le to your mount or local drive so that the license server can read it.

STEP 1

STEP 2Click the “Install New License(s)” button.

STEP 3Enter the password which has already been registered through Online/Offl ine registration.

STEP 4Click the “Automatic Update” or “Install Saved File” button.

STEP 5If “Install Saved File” was selected in Step 4, click the “Browse...”button to locate the license fi le. After specifying the saved license fi le, click “Next”.

STEP 6Click “Show Valid License(s)” button.

STEP 7The list of available products and the number of each product will show up on the window.

STEP 8Confi gure each application installation to use the new serever by using sfl m_access. Ensure the new server is present in the list of available servers or add it using confi gure->add->local server from within sfl m_access.

Notify your vendor the information of Machine Credentials, Machine ID, and Machine keys displayed on the screen. Wait until the vendor informs you the Code Name and the Activation Code, which may take several days.

STEP 5After you receive the Code Name and the Activation Code from the vendor, perform Step 1 to 5 again, then click “Next”.

STEP 6

Enter these information to each blank on the window, then click “Next” again.

If the local license server does not have a web browser or access to the internet all web based actions can be performed from another machine on your network. To access the SFLM administration pages use the address http://<server_name>:3162 or http://<server_ip_address>:3162

The Silvaco Management Console (sman) also has the ability to launch a web browser to the SFLM management pages,
