REPORTS

MEMBERSHIP Maureen and Anne R.

Once again you have been warm and welcoming as we now have a wait list of 14. At the Board meeting it was decided not to close the wait list at this time. We will welcome guests as they bring extra ideas and energy to us and are welcome to fill spaces in guild activities when possible. June is our BLUE month…. Are there questions that you want answered? Your responses for May are so much fun, and we will provide you with a preliminary SQG profile … careful listening required as there may be a test at the Christmas lunch! The big questions for June:

1. What is your favorite fabric marker? 2. How many quilting rulers do you have? 3. Which ruler do you use most often?

And, thanks to Anne’s ingenuity, the door prizes will be wrapped in “mystery” in the future …. so we will all enjoy your surprised faces.

As always …. Yours, tangled up in Thread, Maureen and Anne

FREE TABLE Lorna and Esther

There will not be a free table this month because of the luncheon. You now have the summer to collect all those unnecessary items in your sewing room for the September meeting.

Have a wonderful summer, Esther and Lorna

REFRESHMENTS Marianne, Angela, Gail and WendyW.

We would like to thank all our ladies for volunteering to provide us with goodies

throughout the year.

Reminder: Tea & Coffee will be free at the luncheon.

Please remember to bring your own plate, cutlery, mug and napkin!

Many thanks to Barb McG., we now have an additional coffee maker. We shall not run out of coffee at

our meetings from now on.

A great summer to all of you! Marianne

audit over the summer. Thank you!

HAVE QUILTS WILL TRAVEL Judy P/Linda F, Yoskyl, Anne R. and Jenifer

Our road trip to the NS Stroke Recovery Centre on July 10 is going to be fantastic. Look at the line-up of quilters who have signed on: Anne R., Chris, Elaine A., Bev, Isabelle J., Connie, and Maureen O. I’ll be sending out a reminder and detailed information to our participants about a week before the event.

Linda F.

QUILTS OF VALOUR Suzanne and Norine

Norine and I are working on finishing our most recent Q of V but are thinking of what we might work on next. I’ve come across a few different ideas but we’d love to hear from any members if they see an interesting pattern - we like to think of this as a guild effort. Thanks to Donna and Yoskyl (especially) for sending ideas they’ve encountered. We will work on having some possibilities to share with members at the September meeting.

Happy Summer sewing everyone!

WEBSITE Judy S. http://seymourqg.wordpress.com

There are some new photos on the on the website. Thanks to all who have sent them along. Marilyn has written some great posts for Our Blog about the speakers and activities we have

enjoyed this year. Happy Summer to all, Judy

CQA Eleanor

CQA Report: Quilt Canada is being held June 12 – 15 in Ottawa. Those lucky enough to be attending will be there right now. Hopefully, we will get a full report on their return. 52 Blocks: We won't be doing a display of the blocks at the luncheon meeting, but we’ll catch up in September. Summer is a great time to catch up, or even start if you haven't done so!

Thanks and have a great summer, Eleanor
