• Town Gas is a leading installation company of gas metering solutions in Egypt, with a customer base exceeding 2 million clients between Cairo & Alexandria municipalities

• Gasco is the biggest owner of pipelines in Egypt

Gas Metro industries produces and manufactures gas meters under license from Apator Metrix S.A. based in Poland.

• Apator Metrix S.A. is a company with 60 years of experience in the European gas metering equipment market.

The valuable expertise transferred to Gas Metro Industries allowed it to develop a growing range of residential and industrial gas metering products and solutions of high quality, endurance and precision of metering.

Its production is focused on nine main sizes of gas meters, from G1,6 residential type to G65 industrial type, with different pipe gauges.

e‐Cash Solution

Our e-cash solution allows our clients to strike a balance between enabling their consumers to manage consumption in a transparent manner while simultaneously improving the revenue collection. This is made possible through various payment schemes including smart cards and RFID technology. Our clients have the choice of choosing between installing the meters indoors, having their respective consumers interact with the meter directly, or installing the meter outdoors; in which case the consumers would interact through a customer interface unit (CIU), in order to reduce non-technical losses.


Smart G Solution

The Smart G solution enables utility companies to remotely collect metering data as well as configure meters, which enhances the accuracy and swiftness with which data is transferred between the utility and consumers. The Smart G solution can also be used to permit our clients to communicate with standard type meters using a group metering setup. This enables them to collect meter readings, to monitor tampering events, and to monitor consumer loads and power quality; all with a reduced investment and operation cost. The solution's flexible design allows it to support different wired as well as wireless communication topologies and protocols including but not limited to GSM/GPRS, PLC, and CDMA.


Smart Grid Solution

The Smart Grid solution is for those who wish to upgrade their network to the new era of Smart Grids. The solution aims to enhance the utility’s management of the transmission and distribution network through a real-time monitoring & control system. The solution is capable of providing in-depth analyses of the technical and non technical losses, asset utilization, network unbalance & overload consumption, load profile, and consumer behavior. In addition, the solution can be integrated into the already existing utility system and is capable of reporting the results of analyses in the form of graphical representations and charts.
