From the Panel 36” - Ivory (A):• Fussy cut (1) 34 ½” x 41 ½” rectangle centered on the panel.
From the Wood Grain - Dark Brown (B), cut:• (4) 5 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (24) 5 ½” squares.• (2) 2” x 41 ½” WOF strips. • (2) 2” x 37 ½” WOF strips. From the Tossed Sewing Machines - Ivory (C), cut:• (3) 5” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 5” x 44 ½” strips.• (3) 4 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 4 ½” x 43 ½” strips.
From the Urban Legend - Red (D), cut:• (3) 2” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 2” x 52 ½” strips.• (3) 2” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 2” x 47 ½” strips.• (7) 2 ½” x WOF strips for the binding.
From the Sewing Words - Ivory (E), cut:• (3) 3” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 3” x 50 ½” strips.• (3) 2” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 2” x 55 ½” strips.
From the Sewing Notions - Ivory (F), cut:• (2) 5 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (12) 5 ½” squares.
From the Scissors - Ivory (G), cut:• (2) 5 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (12) 5 ½” squares.
From the Meandering Stitch - Medium Brown (H) • (7) 3” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (92) 3” squares.
From the Sewing Motifs - Medium Brown (Backing), cut:• (2) 78” x WOF strips for the backing. Sew the strips together and trim to make the 68” x 78” back.
1. Sew (1) 2” x 41 ½” Fabric B strip to each side of the 34 ½” x 41 ½” Fabric A panel. Sew (1) 2” x 37 ½” Fabric B strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric A panel. Trim the block to measure 36 ½” x 43 ½” to make the Center Block (Fig. 1).

2. Place (1) 3” Fabric H square on the bottom left corner of (1) 5 ½” Fabric B square, right sides together (Fig. 2). Sew across the diagonal of the smaller square from the upper left corner to the lower right corner (Fig. 2). Flip open the triangle formed and press. Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle ¼” away from the sewn seam (Fig. 3).
3. Follow Figure 4 for the seam direction to add a 3” Fabric H square to the lower right corner of the 5 ½” Fabric B square to make (1) Unit 2 square (Fig. 5).
4. Repeat Steps 2-3 to make (22) Unit 2 squares total.

Quilt Top Assembly (Follow the Quilt Layout while assembling the quilt top.)8. Sew (1) 4 ½” x 43 ½” Fabric C strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 5” x 44 ½” Fabric C strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.
9. Sew (1) 2” x 52 ½” Fabric D strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 2” x 47 ½” Fabric D strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.
10. Sew (1) 2” x 55 ½” Fabric E strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 3” x 50 ½” Fabric E strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.
11. Sew (1) Side Border to each side of the Center Block. Sew the Top Border and Bottom Border to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block to make the quilt top.
12. Layer and quilt as desired.
13. Sew the (7) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric E strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press.
14. Bind as desired.

5. Repeat Steps 2-3 and refer to Figures 6-9 for fabric identification, placement and seam direction to make (12) Unit 3 squares, (10) Unit 4 squares, (2) Unit 5 squares and (2) Unit 6 squares.
6. Follow Figure 10 and sew together (6) Unit 2 squares, (3) Unit 3 squares and (3) Unit 4 squares to make (1) Side Border. Repeat to make a second Side Border.
7. Follow Figure 11 and sew together (1) Unit 5 square, (5) Unit 2 squares, (3) Unit 3 squares, (2) Unit 4 squares and (1) Unit 6 square to make the Top Border. Repeat to make the Bottom Border.
