UPDATE: park access, closures and conditions
Campers who have booked sites that are
closed due to this weather event can
apply for a refund or gift card via the
online booking system at
www.qld.gov.au/camping or by emailing
Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service
(QPWS) is pleased to re-open some
parks and forests, as our focus shifts to
assessment and recovery.
We are keeping closures in place
where damage is substantial, access is
difficult and floodwaters are slow to
recede. The safety of our teams and
visitors is always our highest priority.
Please refer to the attached
spreadsheet for current park access
and closures. Remember conditions
change quickly, so we encourage you
to monitor Park Alerts at
www.parks.des.qld.gov.au/park-alerts.
For current weather conditions, please
consult the Bureau of Meteorology
www.bom.gov.au. For road conditions,
check https://qldtraffic.qld.gov.au/.
Landslips are among our safety concerns, as we undertake assessments across our tracks, day-use areas and campgrounds.
