Hello again friends,
The world especially the barrage of voices during this pandemic
can greatly disturb our peace. When our peace is disturbed we can
try to control every detail of what happens or get frustrated when
people don’t agree with us. How do we cul6vate peace and
understanding during a 6me of major disagreement? If ever there
was a 6me to trust in God’s will, this would be it.
When we’re able to trust in God’s will, the uncertain6es and
ques6ons fade away, and it is easier to become a grateful people.
Our parish staff con6nues to adapt to the evershiCing landscape of
life during COVID19. There are more regula6ons on how and when
to meet than ever before to promote safety. Those regula6ons pose
what some people would say a problem. But most problems are
just opportuni6es in disguise, right? Look at all the “problems” that
Jesus’ apostles navigated: not having enough food (Ma$hew
14:1321), being caught in a storm (Mark 4:3541), or denying Jesus
(Luke 22:5461). Jesus’ lordship negates every problem when the
disciples have faith in God’s will.
So, too, with us. The problem that has presented itself, is that our
two parishes of St. Bruno and St. Paul are being given the
opportunity to share space and have a truly Chris6an spirit. Due to
the need to maintain social distancing and sani6zing aCer every
mee6ng, we have decided to move all St. Bruno and St. Paul
mee6ngs to the St. Paul campus for the 202021 year. God has
blessed us with the ability to work together and have enough space
to accommodate our many ministries. ACer this year of uncertainty,
we will reassess. Addi6onally, we are working on virtual mee6ng
capabili6es so our faith family can stay connected. We are a grateful
people that can help each other stay spiritually strong.

What is YOUR purpose?
Today’s second reading reminds us that all things work for good for
those who love God, who are called according to His purpose.
PURPOSE: the feeling of being determined to do or achieve
something. (dic6onary.com). So what is YOUR purpose? St. Paul
goes on to say that we are to be conformed to the image of his Son.
There’s a purpose for you! This reminds those of a certain age of
the Bal6more Catechism: God made me to know Him, to love Him,
and to serve Him in this world, and to be happy with Him forever in
the next.
We BELONG to Him we were bap6zed and adopted into the
Trinity through the giC of the Holy Spirit. Living in our family of faith
helps us belong. Sharing faith brings us unity (pause here for a
word from our parish: pray about joining a small group!). As we get
to know Him, we come to belong more and more to Him and unity
with the Head of the Body of Christ brings unity in the en6re body
of Christ. We belong to each other. On purpose. For HIS
purpose to be in rela6onship with Him.
Through the giC of crea6on of the world, this
bumblebee was created for a significant
purpose cross pollina6on. Without his giC,
the world will be missing something so
important (about 1/3 of our food crop
depends on pollinators).
Are you living your purpose? BEE (sorry I just cannot resist)
conformed to the image of His Son, BEE the light of Christ, BEE
loving, BEE His presence in the world. The world is missing
something if you aren’t living your purpose!

your child through 8th grade. We believe in tradiRonal values and use
modern learning styles in our classrooms. Our dedicated, cerRfied,
ChristCentered teachers give instrucRon 5 days a week.

PRAYER FOR CONFIRMATION CANDIDATES:
Lord, You send out Your Spirit to touch the hearts of all people, so
that they may believe in You and in Jesus whom You sent. Look kindly
on all candidates for Confirma$on as they listen to Your voice. Open
their hearts to Your Spirit and bring to fulfilment
the good work that You have begun in them. As
we prepare each of them for Confirma$on, make
each of us an instrument of Your love. Teach us
to appreciate what is holy in others, and to be
pa$ent with what we do not understand. Deepen
our faith in the Gospel and help us to pass it on by
our example. We pray that You will con$nue to
guide us and sustain us. Through Christ our Lord, Amen.

Registra6on for 20202021 Faith Forma6on for grades 18 is now
open. For children previously registered, a mailing has been sent. If
you are new to our parish or you did not receive this mailing, you

you can stop in the parish office Monday through Thursday, 8:30 am

We will offer live classes star6ng in September. For families who
are not comfortable sending their children to class, we will offer an
“at home” op6on. Plans are being made to accommodate any future
restric6ons on gatherings. We just ask for everyone to be flexible on
this.
They say “it takes a village to raise a child”. We are currently in
need of a few people to teach in our program for grades 1 and 3. We
also need aides for those two grades. In the middle school we need
people willing to lead small group discussions with the students. Will
you consider sharing your faith with the children of our parish?

LIVE THE LITURGY
INSPIRATION FOR THE WEEK
When a merchant finally finds a priceless,
perfect pearl, he sells all he has and buys
it. He does this because that pearl ma$ers
to him. It has significance and brings a
depth of joy like none other. What
ma$ers and is of importance to you?
When what ma$ers to us has something
to do with the kingdom of God, God is
delighted. His exuberant happiness is hard
to contain because He knows that we are
happy stumbling upon this beau6ful wis-
dom. Ask God to help you discover this
pearl of great price. There are many
things compe6ng for our a$en6on every
day. But not all of these things are im-
portant. We focus too much energy on
the unimportant, superficial stuff and
neglect paying a$en6on to the things that
really make a difference and have the
greatest impact. Things all too easily be-
come more significant than people, and
our agendas become more essen6al than
God’s. We do not have to empty our bank
accounts and totally detach from every-
thing we have in order to serve God. But,
we are asked to priori6ze our lives and
make what ma$ers to God what ma$ers
most to us. In doing so, when we rise each
day, we will be able to see what really
needs our a$en6on and embrace it with
great joy! ©LPi

The Milk Angels
Have you heard about the milk
give away? We have Milk Angels
right here at St. Bruno Parish. They got the
idea when the news showed farmers
dumping milk. There was a news ar6cle about
Sassy Cow Creamery owning a processing
facility where they pasteurize their own milk.
Our Angles decided to purchase milk to
donate to our local families who need help
feeding their kids. This seemed like a win win
for suppor6ng the farmer and local families.
It is their way of giving back to our
community.
If you or someone you know outside of
St. Bruno is interested in receiving a gallon of
milk, please email [email protected]
to reserve one. We are now on a schedule of
the 2
nd
and 4
th
Wednesdays of the month
from Noon to 5ish. There will be coolers
outside the Kitchen door, near the
playground, at St Bruno for selfservice
pickup during the above hours on that day.
Your ini6als will be marked on your order.
There will always be extras.
Our donor only asks in exchange that we
keep praying for all the people that are trying
to stretch their food dollars and those who
work in cri6cal jobs. To reserve your milk,
email the Milk Angles
[email protected] by Monday at
noon of the week of pick up. Reserva6ons
are not necessary, but they do help the
Angels know how much milk to order.
We offer thanks to our though?ul donors.
