Allow small trees and flowers to grow by not stepping on them. 3. Trash Your Trash “Pack it in, pack it out.” 4. Leave What You Find So others can enjoy it and wildlife can use it. 5. Be Careful With Fire Be sure it’s OK to build a fire where you’re visiting. Make sure fires are completely out before you leave. 6. Our Fish StoryFill in the blanks and then read the story out loud.

We were paddling on the lake when a adjective

fish appeared. It had number

eyes and instead of a fin

it had a vegetable

. On its body part

it wore

a bright green noun

. When the fish talked, it

sounded like funny noise

. The fish was returning

from fish school, where it was studying to become a

occupation

. We followed the fish to its home, which

was an underwater adjective

noun

.

The fish offered us a plate of insect (plural)

for lunch, and some adjective

liquid

to drink. We said we preferred our adjective

sandwiches instead. After lunch, the fish gave us a

noun

as a gift. In return, we gave it a

noun

. Then we verb (past tense)

our canoe

carefully to shore and went home with a good fish story.

Match the Animal TracksDraw a line between each animal and the track it makes. When you’re outside, keep an eye open for animals as well as the tracks they leave behind!

It’s a Squirrel’s World.1. Purr-haps you knew this already: Baby squirrels are called kittens.2. What’s for lunch? If you were a squirrel, it would be nuts, wheat,

acorns, berries, insects, moths and fruit. 3. You can’t sneak up on a squirrel. They can see some things that are

behind them because of the way their eyes are positioned.4. Who needs a tail? Squirrels use theirs in four ways: to provide

balance when jumping, to act as a parachute when they fall, to keep them warm in winter, and to talk with other squirrels by twitching it.

5. Chew on this: A squirrel’s front teeth can grow six inches per year, but they stay short due to constant use.

Color the squirrel with crayons or markers, and bring its world to life.

Did Someone Say Lunch?Help the deer find its way to some a-maze-ing food.
