About School Kit Drive . . .
Volunteers at Seva Sahayog come together every year to help provide brand NEW school kits to under-privileged school going children. The aim is to BRING SMILES to these children as they take their next leap in learning.
We all have experienced the joy of having a new school bag, books, pencils and crayons on first day of school. With the 'School Kit' program we hope to create that 'moment of smile' for the underprivileged children in the society.
“A smile happens in a flash, but its memory can last for a lifetime.”
One school kit contains the following material
1st & 2nd Standard: 1 School bag, 2 3-in-1 Note books, 1 Pencil pouch, 1 Crayon set, 1 Drawing
book, 1 Craft book.
3rd & 4th Standard: 1 School bag, 2 3-in-1 Note books, 1 Geometry box, 1 Crayon set, 1 Drawing
book, 1 Graph Book, 1 Colouring book.
5th to 7th Standard: 1 School bag, 8 Note books, 1 Drawing book, 1 Geometry box, 1 Crayon set, 3
Science Math dictionaries.
8th to 10th Standard: 1 School bag, 10 Long books, 1 Geometry box, 1 Graph book, 1 Exam Pad.

In all 76228 School Kits distributed during regular summer activity from Mumbai (36926) and Pune (39302) together.Additionally 6000 Kits distribution in Sep’18, in the flood impacted areas in Kerala.

Highlights of 2018
School Kit Distribution: Overall 82228 kits from Mumbai and Pune.
This also includes 6000 Kits distribution in Sep’18, in the flood impacted areas in Kerala.
More than 30 assembly sessions in Pune and Mumbai, spread over six Saturday & Sundays from 09.00 am to 01.00 pm and also on weekdays in few company premises.
Right from a 4 yr. kid to a 80 yr. old had a task to complete & assemble over 10,00,000 items for 80000+ school kits.
Volunteer Participation: 5,000+
Support from 200+ corporates.
17 assembly sessions held within company premises, with a greater corporate volunteer engagement.
Internship opportunities for young generations, providing exposure and allowing them to explore their skills and interests.
NGOs Benefited: 300+.
About 100+ teachers shared their experiences through Feedback sharing sessions at SSF office.
More than 90% students continued schooling.
Attendance in school increased by 30%.
More than 80% students were from below poverty line income group.

Colouring books for standards 3rd and 4th, along with drawing books, for improvedcolouring technique.

Exam pads with messages from the book “Exam Warriors”, for standards 8th to 10th.
Postcards for feedback – to the kids and from the kids.
Refill bags made by WEP – to bind the two programs together and also improvethe inclination towards education wrt curriculum as well optimal usage ofresources.
Real time transactions for donations by enabling fund transfer through UPIs.

Seva DarshanTo distribute School Kits we visit NGOs and Schools. This is calledSeva Darshan.
Through Seva Darshan we got know that some schools need morethan just school bags. Seva Sahayog has tried to fulfil these needsthrough our capacity.
Demand from drought prone area has increased magnanimously.Therefore there is increased need for Seva Darshan initiative.
