How to access my Exchange Account withAndroid 4.x Mobile Phone?

1. On the application screen, tab Settings.

2. Scroll to "Accounts and sync" and tab on it.

3. Tab "Add account".

4. Scroll down to "Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync" and tab on it.

5. Enter your Exchange email address and password, then tab "Manual setup" to

continue.

6. Enter "cityumd\" before the user name (EID) in the "Domain\user name" field, and

enter "mobile.um.cityu.edu.hk" in the "Exchange server" field. Then tab the right-arrow to continue.

7. You may be asked to accept the terms and policy from a specific mobile device

vendor when the email client is going to be activated. Tab OK to continue.

8. Some remote security features have to be applied to your mobile device by the

Exchange server. Tab OK to continue.

9. You can select how the emails will be synced with your mobile device, the period of

emails to sync, also the data size of each email to be retrieved, and the period ofCalendar to be synced here.

10. Scroll down to the bottom, you can choose if you will be notified if there are new

emails, also the services you can sync with the Exchange server. After you havemade your decision, tabright-arrow to continue.

11. The security features from the CityU Exchange server will now be applied to your

mobile device. Tab Activate to continue.

12. The setup is now complete. You can give this account a name. Tab Done to finish the

setup.

13. To check your emails, open the Email app inside your Applications folder.

14. Now you can read, and even compose and send emails by using the email app.
