The following slides provide a step-by-step guide for implementing RELTsettings and ensuring properoperation of the RELT function forEmax 2, XT7 and XT5 trip units.

Before starting please confirm that thetrip unit has a black front and isupdated with a firmware version3.10.00 or higher.

Previous firmware versions do not havethe RELT activation Wizardfunctionality described in thisdocument.

Install the RELT Ekip Signalling 2K-3 module in anavailable slot on the top of the circuit breaker.1

Provide power to the Ekip Supply module (using110-240V AC/DC or 24-48Vdc), or directly connectto the secondary terminal using 24Vdc (terminalsK1 (+/L) and K2 (-/N).

Check if the module is recognized by the trip unit.If not , you will need to enable the local busfollowing these steps: (Display -> Settings ->Modules -> Local bus -> ON2).

Please note: version depicted below is a fixed type CB.The same identification is found on an adjustablemetal plate just below the secondary disconnecton the cassette.

The 2I Protection is an additionalinstantaneous protection with afaster clearing time than thestandard I Protection. It isspecifically used for arc flashmitigation (RELT feature)

Wire the I31 input of the RELT Ekip Signalling 2K-3 modulewith a switch of your choice.

The light of Input I31 should be ON when the switch is closed.

This input activates the 2I protection confirmed by twoalarms; text on the touchscreen and an indicator to the right.

Outputs O31 and O32 are used for external indication. Whenthe 2I protection is activated both lights turn ON confirmingthat the trip unit has received the signal, properly processedthe signal and the circuit is in good order.
