Setting up the XpertOnline-ReadyQual Interface

There are a couple things that you need to do to properly setup the ReadyQual interface to XpertOnline. First, you will need to setup new XPN and/or TU access codes, a new client with at least one new user, and a new product list with the Prequal product in XOP. Then, you will need to login and enter the login credentials for the new XOL client into ReadyQual.

You can setup XOP to deliver either a prequal from Experian, a prequal from TransUnion, or you can offer a two-bureau merged prequal report.

This document walks you through this setup process.

Prerequisite – Get Your Soft Inquiry Access Codes

Before you begin any work in XOP or in ReadyQual, reach out to your bureau representatives to receive soft inquiry access codes.

Experian

Contact your Experian Representative and request a soft inquiry access code specifically for the Experian Prequal product. You will need to submit screens, a data flow chart, and a complete questionnaire for Experian to review.

Once you have Experian’s approval, they can deliver your code to you.

TransUnion

Contact your TransUnion Representative and request a soft inquiry access code specifically for the TU Prequal product. There are no screens, flow charts, or questionnaires for TU as long as you utilize the default consumer verbiage that ReadyQual displays.

Once you have TU’s approval, they can deliver your code to you.

As soon as you get your access code(s), you can begin the setup process by following these instructions below.

Step 1 for Enabling the Credit Connection: Setting up ReadyQual in XOP

To properly enable the credit reporting connection between XpertOnline and ReadyQual, the first step is to setup XOP so that credit report orders can be placed in ReadyQual for that client. To ensure that you are properly tracking and managing ReadyQual transactions, you will need to setup new access codes, a brand new client, user(s), and a brand new product list to assign to that client.

Experian Prequal Access Code Setup

Login to XOP, select the Setup menu, and select the Access Codes menu option. Add a new Experian Access Code here, and enter your Prequal subscriber code information that you received from your XPN representative. A couple things to note here:

• Choose the Permissible Purpose code of “3F.”

• Make sure you check the Soft Inquiry checkbox.

Save your changes.

TransUnion Prequal Access Code Setup

Login to XOP, select the Setup menu, and select the Access Codes menu option. Add a new TransUnion Access Code here, and enter your subscriber code information that you received from your TU representative. Make sure to check the Soft Inquiry checkbox.

Client Setup

Even if the client you want to enable in ReadyQual is an existing XpertOnline, you will need to setup a new client company so that you can properly identify, manage, and bill for ReadyQual transactions, and so that your existing clients cannot select the ReadyQual product from your product list in XpertOnline. As you know, ReadyQual uses a soft inquiry access codes, and that cannot be used for your regular mortgage credit products: it must only be used for prequalifying products through the ReadyQual platform.

Login to XOP, and go to the Setup | Clients menu option, then click the New button.

Page 5: Setting up the XpertOnline-ReadyQual Interface

5

Follow your regular process for setting up a client in XOP by filling out the fields on the client setup detail screen here. This client is likely a client that already exists in XOP, so you can name this client a similar name, but identify it with "RQ" in the subscriber ID, or in the client name, or however you want to do this.

When you are done, Save your changes. When the new client had been added, you will be taken automatically to the Setup tab where you can setup a new product list and product.

Product Setup

On the Setup tab in XOP, at the very top, check the Use Classic Product Setup checkbox, and click Yes at the prompt.

Page 6: Setting up the XpertOnline-ReadyQual Interface

6

You will need to setup a new product list to assign to this client. To do this, click the Lookup Product List button, and at the Search prompt, leave it blank, and click OK. Click the New button, and choose New Product List.

In the Description field, enter the name of this product list. You can name it something like "ReadyQual Product List" so that you can use it across multiple clients that will use ReadyQual if you choose.

Page 7: Setting up the XpertOnline-ReadyQual Interface

7

Click Save, and when the save is complete, click the New button again, and this time, choose New Product. The Product Detail tab will open, as shown here.

To make this a ReadyQual-specific product, make sure you enter the name ReadyQual into the Description field. This is a requirement to make sure that the connection between XOP and ReadyQual works properly.

Since this product's user interface is in ReadyQual, and ReadyQual does not require the consumer’s SSN to be entered, the User Interface that is selected should be Request without SSN.

8

All of the other selections on the Product Detail tab for Category, Priority, Preferred Access Order, Product Level, and Checkbox Product Type won't matter. You can leave these as either blank, or take the defaults here.

Enter an Individual and Joint Price and Tax here based on what your market will bear. This will be your main ReadyQual pricing that you bill to your client when they place orders. With ReadyQual, you will either be offering the XPN prequal product, the TU prequal product, or both in a 2-bureau product (ReadyQual uses whichever product is in this product list, so you will only setup 1 product in the list). The price entered here depends on which offering you choose. Save your changes.

Setting up the Experian Access

If you want to use the XPN Prequal product – or if you want to offer a 2-bureau prequalifying report in ReadyQual – this you will need to set the XPN prequal access to Selected on this product. Note – if you want the TU prequal only, do not setup the XPN Prequal access on this product.

To do this, click the Product Detail button, and on the screen that opens, click on the Accesses entry, then scroll through the list until you find the Experian v7.0 Prequalification Report entry, and double click it.

Page 9: Setting up the XpertOnline-ReadyQual Interface

9

On the Access Detail screen that opens, find the Access Code drop down list, click it, and find your Experian Prequal product access code that you have setup in XOP. Select it from this drop down list.

Your pricing for this product is going to be handled on the main product price, so you can leave the Individual and Joint Price and Tax fields blank here.

Setting up the TransUnion Access

If you want to use the TU Prequal product – or if you want to offer a 2-bureau prequalifying report in ReadyQual – this you will need to set the TU v4.0 Credit Report access to Selected on this product. Note – if you want the XPN prequal only, do not setup the TU Prequal access on this product.

Page 10: Setting up the XpertOnline-ReadyQual Interface

10

To do this, click the Product Detail button, and on the screen that opens, click on the Accesses entry, then scroll through the list until you find the TUv4.0 Credit Report entry, and double click it.

On the Access Detail screen that opens, find the Access Code drop down list, click it, and find your TransUnion Prequal product access code that you have setup in XOP. Select it from this drop down list.

Your pricing for this product is going to be handled on the main product price, so you can leave the Individual and Joint Price and Tax fields blank here.

Page 11: Setting up the XpertOnline-ReadyQual Interface

11

Next, click on the Services option. In the Merge Services section, right-click on the Blend option, and set it to Selected.

• If you are setting up a single-bureau XPN or TU prequal product, it will not be de-duped with other bureau data, but XOP requires a merge service on a product.

• If you are setting up two-bureau product, the file will be merged according to the merge service selection here. ReadyQual will decision off of the lowest score.

Finally, click on the Outputs option, find the PDF Lender Report output, then right-click on it and set it to Selected.

In addition to the PDF Lender Report output, you will need to set the XML For Imported Source output to Selected as well.

Page 12: Setting up the XpertOnline-ReadyQual Interface

12

When you have done all of these steps to setup your product, click the Save button to save your changes. Then, close out of this screen.

When you return to the Product Detail screen, click the Select button.

This will assign this ReadyQual product list to the ReadyQual client.

Click the Save button to save your changes.

User Setup

Now, you will need to setup a default user that all credit reports that are ordered in ReadyQual will be assigned to in XpertOnline. Note that, for ease of use, you only need to setup one user for this ReadyQual client in XOP. You can have as many client users setup in ReadyQual as you like, and whenever orders are placed from ReadyQual, they will all be assigned to this user in XOP.

Click the Users button, then on the resulting Users screen, click the New button to add a new user.

On the User Detail tab, you can enter a username and password here. Make sure to make a note of the username and password, because this data is what you will enter into ReadyQual to establish the connection.

Page 14: Setting up the XpertOnline-ReadyQual Interface

14

You can setup this user however you wish per your security policies and procedures. Keep in mind password expiration criteria that you may set here, because when passwords expire in XOP, this will cause an issue with the connection between ReadyQual and XOP.

Step 2 for Enabling the Credit Connection: Client Setup in ReadyQual

Whenever you add a new client to ReadyQual, you will need to setup the credit reporting connection to XpertOnline to make sure the prequal product can be ordered and returned properly. Follow these instructions to add a new client into ReadyQual and enable the credit connection to XpertOnline.

Login to ReadyQual, then click the Client Setup button, and click the plus sign at right to add a new client. This is where you will add basic client company information, enter the XOP credentials to enable the credit connection, and setup the private label for this lender client.

Page 15: Setting up the XpertOnline-ReadyQual Interface

15

• Enter a Client Company Name. • Get a copy of your client's logo and either drag and drop it here, or click the +image

button to upload it. • Enter the lender Phone number, email address, address, city, state, and zip code.

The XpertOnline section is where you enable the credit connection.

• XOL ProviderID - enter your XpertOnline provider ID into this field. • XOL CompanyID - enter the companyID / clientID / Subscriber ID that you created for

the new ReadyQual client in XOP. • XOL UserID - enter the user name of the default user that you created for the

ReadyQual client in XOP. • XOL Password - enter the password of the default user that you created for the

ReadyQual client in XOP. • Choose which bureau or bureaus you want to provide prequalifying data. Your

selection here is based on what you setup in XOP: o If you only setup TU and the TU access code, check the TU checkbox. o If you only setup XPN and the XPN access code, check the XPN checkbox o If you setup both XPN and TU and are offering a two-bureau prequal in

ReadyQual, check both checkboxes.

Page 16: Setting up the XpertOnline-ReadyQual Interface

16

• Select the colors of your lender client's branding so that their ReadyQual web site will look like their own brand by setting Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary colors.

• Click the Preview Branding button to see what your client's web site will look like. You can make any adjustments here as needed.

Then, find the Admin User section, and begin filling out this information. This section is where you create the client company's main administrator user who will be the first to login and continue setting up and maintain the rest of their company’s products and users in ReadyQual.

• Enter the Name, Email address, Phone number, and cell phone number of the first administrative user for this client.

• Assign this administrative user a Username and Password, then confirm the Password. Note that this username and password are only for logging into ReadyQual, and have nothing to do with the XpertOnline credit connection.

When done, Save your changes (note - the Save button is at the top of the screen).

The XOP credentials that you entered will be validated, and when the save is complete, the XpertOnline credit connection is enabled for this client. All users under this client in ReadyQual will be able to order credit with these login credentials.

The next step is to let your client know that they can login to ReadyQual - which will be your own private labeled version of ReadyQual - with the administrator user credentials you setup here to begin adding their loan products and users for their company.
